Wednesday, June 18

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on E. Hall in Bangs with information that the driver of the vehicle was unlicensed and that the occupants of the vehicle were in possession of methamphetamine.  The driver, identified as Jennifer L. Jolly, consented to a search of the vehicle which located methamphetamine, the report states.  Jolly was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

Thursday, June 19

*8:23 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant regarding the theft of evaporative coils and fan motors from his property on FM 1467 in May.  The complainant provided a physical description of the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle, according to the report.

*10:52 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of W. Commerce Street regarding identification theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone is using her social security number to cash fraudulent IRS checks.  The complainant spoke to the IRS who requested that she make a police report.

*12:13 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, a loss prevention employee stated that he has had several thefts committed by a male and several females who come in together.  According to the report, the male subject has been identified and a report had been completed for the incidents.

*1:15 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Market Place Blvd. regarding a hit and run accident which occurred in the parking lot of Home Depot.  According to the report, a suspect and suspect vehicle were identified and the incident is pending further investigation.

*2:35 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Vine Street regarding theft.  According to the report, a bicycle was stolen from the residence.

*5:08 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the area of Lakeway Drive and Mulberry Street regarding a welfare check.  According to the report, the subject was located outside of the Stripes Convenience Store sitting on the curb; however, he fled on foot and was detained in the 300 block of Lakeway.  The subject initially gave a false name but was later identified as 19-year-old Chason Franklin of Brownwood.  Franklin had an outstanding warrant for theft of a firearm, the report states.  Franklin also tampered with evidence and was found to be in possession of a controlled substance, according to police.

*5:26 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Riverside Drive regarding theft equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant stated sometime around April 16th, she discovered someone had damaged her cabin, in what she believed was an attempt to gain entry into the cabin.  At that time, the damage was repaired and no report was made to law enforcement; however, recently, the complainant discovered that items were taken from the cabin during the April vandalism.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Patricia Ann Cody of Coleman on Coleman County warrants related to burglary of a building and theft of property greater than $500 less than $1500 enhanced, a Brown County warrant related to theft enhanced, and surety withdrawals related to driving while license invalid and violate promise to appear.

*Brown County sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Anthony Thomas Lumpkin of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/engage in organized criminal activity.  Lumpkin was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond as of Friday morning.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Michael Gene Parks of Temple on a warrant related to failure to appear/possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Colin Garrett Smith of Brownwood on warrants related to terroristic threat of family/household and criminal mischief equal or greater than $50 less than $500.

Friday, June 20

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Raynaldo Maldonado, Jr. on warrants related to two counts of driving while license invalid, violate promise to appear, and failure to appear.
