Sunday, May 25

*4:57 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, three juvenile females were being detained for theft.  According to the report, the complainant wished for charges to be filed and criminal trespass warnings were issued to each of the juveniles at the complainant’s request.  The three juvenile females were also issued citations for theft, the report states.

Thursday, May 29

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of two heifers having been around a calf which had tested positive for the rabies virus.  The quarantine started this date and will continue through August 29th and a follow-up investigation will follow, the report states.

Friday, May 30

*11:10 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Coggin Avenue regarding a citizens’ dispute.  According to the report, the complainant advised that he had two iPod Touches stolen from a vehicle while the property was under the care, custody and control of a local towing company.

*11:52 AM – Brownwood Police received a report from Child Protective Services regarding the allegation of child abuse.  According to the report, the CPS worker explained that a child had made an outcry while at school about his father choking him on several occasions.  The father has been forced to stay at another residence until the investigation is complete, the report states.

*11:56 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 500 block of Cordell Street regarding a citizens’ dispute.  According to the report, one of the involved parties stated that another subject damaged her vehicle and left the area.

*2:43 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant had a male subject detained which he had observed conceal property and when he went to the check out, he never attempted to purchase the items he had concealed.  The complainant wished to pursue charges and it was found that the male had an active trespass warning for the property.  He was subsequently arrested the male, identified as 48-year-old Jimmy William Jolly of Blanket, for theft less than $1500 with previous conviction and criminal trespass.

*4:36 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a known subject, a former friend, had entered her residence without her consent and taken her iPad mini.

*10:51 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 58-year-old James Alton Deshields III of Brownwood for driving while license suspended during a traffic stop at W. Commerce and Simmons Street.

*41-year-old Bryan Castanuela of Brady was arrested on a warrant for prohibited substance in a correctional facility.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Christopher Ray Cooley of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to revoke/driving while intoxicated.

*Texas Juvenile Justice Department arrested 17-year-old Keturah Morgan for assaulting a public servant.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 20-year-old Damion Sawyer of Brownwood on a warrant related to consumption of alcohol by minor.

Saturday, May 31

*2:20 AM – Early Police arrested 18-year-old Horacio Eduardo Mejia Lopez of Early after a traffic stop for speeding in the 700 block of Garmon Drive.  Lopez was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated after leaving a graduation party, the report states.

*6:15 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Phillips Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  This call led to the arrest of a juvenile female for assault family violence, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the theft of cooling equipment from a property on County Road 464.  According to the report, the equipment was being stored on the property temporarily prior to being taken to a job site, the report states.

*Brownwood Police arrested 26-year-old Walker Eddie Covey of Early on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.

*21-year-old Jesse Graviel Jauregui of Abilene turned himself in on a warrant related to accident involving damage to vehicle greater than $200.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Bethany Ann McCoy of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to revoke/evading with vehicle.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Clinton Reynolds of Brownwood on Taylor County warrants related to theft of property greater than $20 less than $500 and theft of property by check.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Alexis Rodriguez of Brownwood on a surety withdrawal related to possession of a controlled substance.

Sunday, June 1

*12:35 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the burglary of a habitation on Emerald Drive.  According to the report, the a known subject had sent the complainant a picture of the front of her mother’s home and threatened to burn the complainant’s personal property.

*12:42 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding an assault.  According to the report, an investigation and report for assault offensive touch (involving a child) was taken and forwarded for further investigation.

*3:00 AM – Early Police arrested 46-year-old Lillie Sellers Oxford of Brownwood in the 600 block of Garmon Drive after a traffic stop for speeding.  Sellers was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

*4:31 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Elizabeth Drive regarding a juvenile problem.  According to the report, the caller’s 15-year-old son was making threats and using profanity after being at a sleep over where he was provided alcohol by his friend’s parent.  The report states that the juvenile was intoxicated and that charges are being pursued.

*7:41 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 3600 block of 3rd Street regarding an unresponsive person.  According to the report, EMS personnel and a female with four children were standing outside. While investigating the incident, the officer observed an incident involving the four children for which CPS was contacted and informed of the incident, the report states.

*9:34 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Durham Avenue regarding an unwanted subject. According to the report, a complainant stated that a known male subject had assaulted him.  The complainant explained that a female friend had called him stating that her ex-common law husband and father of her unborn child had come to her home and was “putting his hands on her.” When the complainant arrived at the house, he observed the female running out of the house away from the suspect and then the suspect came out of the house accusing him of having relations with the female, the report states.  The suspect struck the complainant with a blunt object, a table leg with a bracket attached, which cut the complainant’s arm as he was struck according to the report.  The suspect had fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival, the report states.

*5:00 PM – Early Police responded to an accident where a child was injured. According to the report, the child and mother were transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room by EMS. The 3-year-old child received a laceration on the forehead due to her child safety seat not being properly installed, according to law enforcement. The child’s mother, 29-year-old Jocie Ann Wilkerson of Del Valley was later arrested from the ER for Driving While Intoxicated with a child passenger and injury to a child, according to Early Police. Wilkerson admitted to taking prescription medication while driving, the report states. The child was treated and released at the BRMC ER to Child Protective Services. The Early Police Department reminds the public to be sure their children are properly buckled in the safety seats.  Assistance for proper installation of child safety seats is available from your local law enforcement agencies and/or TxDOT’s certified child safety seat specialist.

*7:30 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Main Blvd. regarding a fight between two females.  According to the report, after the responding officer spoke to both parties involved, and multiple witnesses, 25-year-old Elizabeth Louise Willett of Brady was arrested for interference with emergency telephone call.  The assault is still under investigation, the report states.

*8:06 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the Bangs City Park regarding a report of family violence.  According to the report, an elderly male subject had accidentally struck his daughter while opening an envelope and had caused some cosmetic damage to her vehicle during the incident.  The daughter did not wish to pursue charges against her father, the report states.

*46-year-old Jose Luis Delgado of Whitney turned himself in on a warrant related to driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.

*Texas Parks and Wildlife arrested 25-year-old Charles David Holland of Bangs for public intoxication.

*Brownwood Police arrested 29-year-old John Henry Torrez of Brownwood on warrants related to driving while license invalid and failure to appear.

Monday, June 2

*12:42 AM – Police were called to the 1700 block of Durham Avenue regarding an unwanted subject.  According to the report, the officer spoke to the complainant and began an investigation.  The suspect could not be located at the time of the report.

*12:52 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Avenue K regarding a male subject jumping over fences and running through yards.  This call led to the arrest of Henry Bart Parsons for the offense of criminal trespass, according to the report.

*11:00 AM – Early Police made a traffic stop on a van in the 700 block of Garmon Drive after several motorists reported a reckless driver coming into Early, traveling on the Zephyr Highway (US Hwy 84E/183S). According to the report, officers arrested 58-year-old Edward Mosa Ebrahiem for DWI from prescription medication, the report states.
