Law Enforcement reports and arrests released Wednesday, June 2, 2010
Friday, May 28th
*Brown County Sheriff’s office responded to a call of an assault and criminal mischief resulting in approximately $15,000 of damage to the home the victim was renting. Reports state that the victim was in an altercation with people that she knew resulting in minor injuries. The victim went to her home near Lake Brownwood some time later that day and discovered open doors and windows along with holes in the walls of almost every room in the house.
Monday, May 31st
*Brownwood Police responded to a call of a rock being thrown through a window of a home in the 1500 block of 6th Street.
Tuesday, June 1st
*Brown County Sheriff’s office responded to a call regarding illegal dumping on County Road 350. Deputies found a large amount of computer monitors and other computer related items on the side of the roadway. Deputies are investigating.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office responded to a report of a stolen cell phone in the Bird’s Store campsite.
*Brownwood Police responded to a call regarding theft of a portable generator.
*Brownwood Police are investigating a call of an individual pumping unleaded fuel from the 7-11 in the 3800 block of 4th Street and driving away before paying.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office responded to a call of a man being struck in the head with a 2×6 board.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 18-year-old Gwendolyn Huckaby for Assault Causing bodily Injury Family Violence.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office responded to a call of burglary of a vehicle on County Road 291.
*Brownwood Police arrested 24-year-old Michael Kenneth Way, Jr. for Assault with Injury Family Violence.
Wednesday June 2nd
*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 18-year-old Megan Meshel Whittemore for Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz. Sheriff’s reports state that deputies found Whittemore sleeping in her vehicle at 2:49am Wednesday which was parked in the shoulder of Hwy 183N. Upon further investigation, deputies found a baggie of marijuana, two marijuana roaches, and a marijuana bong with residue the Sheriff’s report states.
*Brownwood Police are investigating a report of stolen alcohol in the 2300 block of Vine Street.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
