LECS Brownwood TX Law enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, June 17, 2013.

Friday, June 14

*12:03 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Davis Lane regarding debit/credit card abuse.  According to the report, the complainant reported that someone had withdrawn money from her account using her personal debit card without her permission.

*12:47 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the report of a burglary of a habitation in the 1000 block of 2nd Street.  According to the report, sometime between June 14th between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., an unknown subject entered his home without his consent and stole his Xbox game system.

*10:50 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding harassment.  According to the report, a male subject claimed to have been threatened by his ex-roommate.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Jeanette Lynn Barber of Gatesville on a warrant for failure to appear/motion to revoke related to theft by check.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41-year-old Christina Duffy Darnell of Coleman on a warrant related to theft of property greater than $20 less than $500 by check.

*Brownwood Police arrested 32-year-old Jeffrey Rian Lemons on a warrant for failure to appear related to burglary of a habitation.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Cheyney Ortiz of Early on a warrant for theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500 by check.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Robert Shannon Stoker of Breckinridge on three warrants related to possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram; possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams; and false drug test device.  Stoker is being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $33,000.

Saturday, June 15

*3:26 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Coggin Avenue regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that unknown subjects threw unknown items at his vehicle, resulting in damage to the vehicle.

*12:43 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Good Shepherd Drive regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, sometime between 10 p.m. on June 14th and 7:30 a.m. on June 15th, an unknown person damaged the complainant’s mailbox.  While investigating the incident, officers observed another mailbox had been damaged a few houses away.  The investigation is ongoing.

*1:20 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, the complainant’s vehicle was struck while he was dining at the restaurant.  He noticed the damage when he returned to his vehicle, the report states.  There were no witnesses or suspects at the time of the report.

*2:30 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the area of Mustang Drive and Horseshoe Trail regarding an assault.  According to the report, witnesses called police reporting that a male pushed a female down in the road and then hit and kicked her.  An investigation led to the arrest of 22-year-old Antonio Martinez, Jr. for assault with injury family violence, 2 times or more within a 12 month period.

*6:19 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, all property was recovered by Wal-Mart’s loss prevention officers prior to officer’s arrival.

*6:54 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Vine Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend destroyed some of her property after she moved out of their residence.  She stated that he also posted a video of himself destroying the property on YouTube, the report states.

*8:41 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to an accident at the intersection of 9th Street and Avenue B.  According to the report, dispatch advised the officer that one of the vehicles involved was stolen out of Fort Worth.  19-year-old Jesus Estrada was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possession of marijuana less than or equal to 2 ounces in a drug free zone.

*9:45 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, a manager stated that a white male subject was observed stealing eight 30-packs of beer and left the scene prior to officers’ arrival.

*10:41 PM – Brownwood Police made a stop in the 1500 block of 6th Street for a traffic violation.   During the stop, a passenger inside the vehicle, identified as 25-year-old Ernesto Mendez was arrested for possession of marijuana equal or less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Dexter Burns of Midland on a warrant for theft $1500, violation of probation.  Burns is being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old David Duhr of Gatesville on a warrant for failure to appear related to driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension without financial responsibility.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 39-year-old Kathleen Edith Holland of Zephyr on a warrant for theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500 by check.

Sunday, June 16

*1:30 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 700 block of Prater Street.  According to the report, an investigation during the stop determined that the driver, 42-year-old Robert Calbert Walker of Early, had been operating the vehicle while intoxicated and that the passenger, 25-year-old Jerry Allen Douglas, Jr., was intoxicated while in a public place.  Both men were arrested as a result of the stop.  According to the report, Walker was charged with driving while intoxicated and Douglas was charged with public intoxication.

*12:59 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a location on Hwy 279 to meet with a complainant who reported that an unknown person had thrown something at their vehicle as they were passing each other.  While en route, dispatch advised the deputy that a second report had been received; a third incident of the same type of incident was reported a short time later, according to the report.

*5:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, 38-year-old Stephanie Barr of Zephyr was arrested for theft greater than $50 less than $500.

*5:38 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Main Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her husband had been drinking and wanted to drive their vehicle.  When she would not allow him to, he threatened to damage their second vehicle, the report states.  When she attempted to phone police, he pushed her to the ground causing her pain on her left side, according to the report.  65-year-old Larry McClain was arrested for assault with injury family violence, the report states.

*6:10 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Elizabeth regarding criminal trespass.  According to the report, a woman claimed that her ex-boyfriend had come to the property uninvited and violated a current trespass warning issued to him for the property.

Monday, June 17

*12:34 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Coggin Avenue.  According to the report, a female complainant stated that two unknown white males had attacked her in the alley behind the property.

*2:27 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of 2nd Street and Avenue I for a signal violation.  This stop led to the arrest of 36-year-old Jeffrey Hughes for driving while intoxicated.
