Law Enforcement reports and arrests released Monday, June 14, 2010
Friday, June 11
*Bangs Police Department arrested 59-year-old Art Dehoyos Perez for Disorderly Conduct and Public Intoxication.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 49-year-old James Robert Williams for Driving while Intoxicated with Child under 15 years of age, 3rd offense or more.
*Brownwood Police responded to the 1100 block of Durham regarding criminal damage to a vehicle. Both driver’s side tires were punctured and the driver’s side rear door had been scratched. No arrests have been made as of the time of the report.
*Brownwood Police responded to the 4400 block of Hwy 183N in reference to a hit and run of a vehicle while the victim was shopping at Kroger between 11:00am and 12:00pm. The truck had a scratch in the paint that ran 2 ft. along the left side of the bed of the truck in front of the back wheel.
*Brownwood Police responded to a report of theft at the Ag Mart Mini Storage in the 2200 block of Brady Avenue. A storage unit had been broken into and a flat screen television stolen.
*Brownwood Police responded to criminal mischief in the Home Depot parking lot. The victim had been shopping and returned to find his vehicle had a scratch running the entire length of the bed of the truck.
*Brownwood Police were called to the area of 14th Street and Magnolia in regards to a report of a suspicious vehicle that was in a ditch, wedged between cement embankment and the adjacent cement wall, with its horn blaring. No occupants could be found; however, both airbags in the vehicle had deployed.
Saturday, June 12
*Approximately 10:50 am a Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy took a report from an employee of the Sportsman Center on Belle Plain in reference to theft of property. Four suspects came into the store on Friday, June 11, and stole a car stereo, a capacitor and a set of speakers (total value of items estimated at $293.00). The theft was caught on in-house surveillance and is being further investigated.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 47-year-old Phillip Blaine Long for Driving While Intoxicated (second DWI).
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 23-year-old Derek Anthony Plaia for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.
*Brownwood Police arrested 41-year-old Delores Salazar for Assault Causing Bodily Injury and Criminal Trespass.
*Brownwood Police Department arrested 46-year-old Tommy Dale Sartain for Public Intoxication
*Brownwood Police Department responded to a report of a woman walking down the 1900 block of Brady Avenue, carrying a beer and cussing at people. According to the report, she stated she was looking to have a fight with someone. She was also reported to have refused to identify herself and was identified by dispatch via in house records as 52-year-old Terry Lee Stewart. Stewart was arrested for Failure to Indentify and Public Intoxication.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Robert Shane Tredway of May for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Grade 1 and Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office stopped a motorcycle for exceeding the 60 mph posted speed on Hwy 279 near Country Oaks Lane. According to the Sheriff’s report, when the driver, 47-year-old Troy Don Walls, was notified of the reason for the stop, he apologized and stated that he was just out showing off for his son, 21-year-old Levi Don Walls of Stephenville, who was the passenger on the motorcycle. Dispatch ran Troy Walls’ drivers license and found it to be suspended, and the deputy noted a smell of alcohol on him the report states. The report also states that Troy Walls resisted any tests that would determine if he was intoxicated, and he was informed that he was being arrested for suspicion of DWI. Reports indicate that Troy Walls resisted officer’s attempts to arrest him. A blood warrant was obtained and Troy Walls was taken to BRMC for a blood draw. Troy Walls was then arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Resist Arrest. Levi Walls was arrested for Evading Arrest after he had left the scene and later returned the report states.
*Brownwood Police responded to the Air Evac office located in the 100 block of Southpark to a report of theft. Two night vision monoculars, valued at $3000/each were stolen.
*Brownwood Police responded to the 1700 block of 7th Street in reference to an assault that occurred at the Rainforest Apartments. Two people had been arguing about a mutual friend that escalated into the male suspect hit the female victim in the face with his elbow and then his fist. No arrest had been made at the time of the report.
Sunday, June 13
*Brownwood Police arrested 51-year-old Delman Ball for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Grade 1 and Possession of Marijuana.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 19-year-old Timothy Glenn Bell for Driving While Intoxicated.
*Brownwood Police Department arrested 22-year-old Adriana Marina Carillo for Public Intoxication
*Brownwood Police Department arrested 29-year-old Kimberly Lynette Harris for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Terrie Alyse Hill for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 22-year-old Tanner Shane McDaniel of Bangs for Driving While Intoxicated.
*Brownwood Police Department arrested 51-year-old Erasmo Mendiola, Jr. for Public Intoxication. According to reports, he was riding his bicycle in the area of Cordell and Austin Avenue with great difficulty maintaining balance having crashed in the middle of the road a couple of times and nearly running into a patrol car. Mendiola reported to have been taking Hydrocodone the report states.
*Brownwood Police responded to a report of a deer stand base being stolen from the parking lot of Camelot Apartments.
*Brownwood Police responded to a report of Animal Cruelty in the 1700 block of 8th Street. According to the report, a young German shepherd puppy had been changed to a chain link fence without food or water for at least several hours. The temperature at the time of the crime was 93 degrees and humid. There was no answer at the residence, so for the animal’s health and wellbeing, it was released to animal control. The incident is being investigated and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.
Monday, June 14
*Brownwood Police Department arrested 22-year-old Jerry Douglas Allen, Jr. for Public Intoxication
*Brown County Sheriff’s office reported a theft of car stereo (which had a George Strait CD inside of it) from an unlocked vehicle.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
