LECSmBrownwood and Early Police detectives received information at approximately 5 p.m. on Friday, June 10th regarding illegal drug activity occurring in the 300 block of Bluffview Drive in Brownwood.   Information revealed that a large quantity of marijuana was being delivered to a particular apartment in the complex, the report states.

According to BPD Assistant Chief James Fuller, detectives responded to the area and observed what was believed to be drug trafficking occurring within close proximity to a local elementary school, which is a drug free zone.  Their observations were consistent with the information they were provided.

According to Fuller’s release, based on their observations, detectives initiated contact and identified 29-year-old Matthew Wilson of Lake Brownwood as the primary suspect.  Further investigation revealed that Wilson was attempting to actively sell approximately 1 ½ pounds of marijuana, Fuller said.  The marijuana was seized and Wilson was arrested for delivery of marijuana under 5 lbs. in a drug free zone.

The investigation is on-going and more arrests are expected, according to Fuller.

Friday, June 10

*12:03 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Norwood Street regarding a scam.  According to the report, the victim advised that some unknown subjects scammed her out of a large sum of money.  This incident of theft greater than $100 less than $750 and impersonation of a public servant was documented.

*2:23 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a business in the 100 block of South Broadway regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had stolen his radio and a battery from his vehicle.  The investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*4:54 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Adams Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, an incident for assault with injury family violence was documented.

*9:14 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1600 block of Good Shepherd Drive regarding the theft of a cell phone.

*10:15 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of 7th Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the complainant stated that there was no physical altercation; however, both parties involved had left the residence prior to the officer’s arrival.  After the second call at this residence for the same incident, the officer parked down the street and watched until the male subject drove back to the residence and stumbled out of his vehicle. As a result of this call, the driver, identified as 56-year-old Daniel Diaz of Brownwood, was arrested for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more after failing field sobriety tests, the report states.

*10:34 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report of two female jailers being assaulted while trying to move a female inmate to another cell.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of terroristic threat.  According to the report, the complainant had been threatened by a subject through a Facebook message.

*Brownwood Police arrested 50-year-old John Arons of Richland Springs, Texas on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500 by check.

*55-year-old Enrique Salazar of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to sex offender’s duty to register annually for life.

*31-year-old Anthony Ray Yeager of Early, Texas turned himself in on a warrant related to credit card or debit card abuse.

Saturday, June 11

*1:05 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Waco Street regarding an assault.  After speaking with the complainant, an incident of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury was documented.

*1:50 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 569 regarding a burglary.  According to the report, the home was secured; however, the suspect broke into the home and stole 3 rifles, valued at $900 total.  A possible suspect was listed, the report states.

*10:27 PM – Brownwood Police responded to a residence on Beaver Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, an incident of injury to a child and assault with injury family violence was documented and forwarded to Child Protective Services.  This incident will also be forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Department for further investigation, the report states.

*34-year-old Gladys Juarez Aleman of Brownwood turned herself in on a warrant related to driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.

*Brownwood Police arrested 19-year-old Isaiah Kellems of Blanket on warrants related to expired driver’s license and failure to appear.

Sunday, June 12

*2:21 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 321 regarding a burglary.  According to the report, the residence had previously been burglarized earlier in the month.  Fingerprint evidence was obtained at the scene, but there are no suspects at this time, the report states.

*7:34 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a south Brownwood residence regarding the burglary of a habitation which occurred at another location.

*Early Police arrested 26-year-old Taylor Alexander Stoddard of Euless, Texas for assault impede breath/circulation family member with previous conviction.  Stoddard was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond as of Monday morning.

Monday, June 13

*12:57 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding disorderly conduct.  According to the report, employees of the business stated they believed a male and female subject who had fled the scene had committed a theft.  This call led to a citation being issued to an adult male and a juvenile female.
