Tuesday, June 9
*4:02 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1900 block of Indian Creek Road regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, a number of windows were shot out of a funeral home at the location. An investigation was begun and the damage was estimated at $2500, the report states.
Wednesday, June 10
*1:30 PM – Brownwood Police received a report via telephone of theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that several items had been stolen from her front porch over the past two nights.
*1:44 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3800 block of South US Hwy 377 regarding credit card abuse. According to the report, the victim’s credit card was stolen and used at various locations throughout town. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*3:51 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3000 block of Asbury regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, a taillight was broken out of a vehicle while it was parked at the residence. The vehicle was one of few vehicles throughout the city which had also been egged, the report states. Possible suspects may be known and an investigation is ongoing, according to police.Thursday, June 11
*9:53 AM – Brownwood Police received the report of a missing person from a complainant at a residence on Indian Creek.
*11:15 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Belle Plain regarding the burglary of a coin operated machine. According to the report, suspects broke into the vacuums at the car wash.
*11:34 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Austin Avenue regarding the forgery of a financial instrument.
*11:44 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding a male subject drinking an alcoholic beverage in a city park. This call led to the issuance of a citation to the subject for consumption of alcohol in a city park, the report states.
*7:02 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop on a motorcycle in the 4200 block of South US Hwy 377 due to the motorcycle turning onto the highway and traveling in the turning lane for a distance. According to the report, during the stop, the driver of the motorcycle appeared nervous and slightly agitated due to the stop. An assisting officer arrived as the driver, identified as 29-year-old Shaw Wagner of Rocksprings, Texas, fled from the officer on foot, the report states. A short time later, the assisting officer had the suspect in custody. During a search of the suspect’s motorcycle and backpack, he was found to be in possession of a quantity of heroin, the report states. Wagner was arrested for an active Gonzales County warrant, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and evading arrest/detention. Wagner was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond as of Friday morning.
* 8:55 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3700 block of Savoy Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the domestic disturbance report was unfounded; however, this call led to the arrest of a male subject for minor in possession of alcohol.
*A Texas Parks and Wildlife game warden arrested 28-year-old Payden Blaine Blackburn of Brownwood on warrants related to failure to appear on Class C offense and open container.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Micheal Ryan Ellis of Brownwood on a warrant related to assault causes bodily injury.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Bobby Wayne Michalski of Early on a parole warrant.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 50-year-old Dannie Weir Patterson of Brownwood on a warrant related to aggravated sexual assault of a child. Patterson was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $40,000 bond.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Antonio Small of Brownwood for possession of marijuana and unlawful carrying weapons.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 46-year-old Bill Vann Taylor of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to comply with sex offender requirements.
Friday, June 12
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Julian Carbahal of Austin on warrants related to possession of a dangerous drug, unlawful carrying weapon and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.
