Law enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, June 11, 2012.
Friday, June 8
*9:42am-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding fraud. According to the report, the complainant stated that she was “swindled out of $2300” by a known suspect using a fraudulent check.
*11:57am-Brownwood Police were called to the 3500 block of Rhodes Road regarding an unwanted subject. According to the report, the apartment manager requested a trespass warning be issued to a subject who she has “nothing but problems with.” The male subject was located in the parking lot of the complex where he was helping a relative pack belongings to move from the apartment after being evicted, the report states.
*2:18pm-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant was the victim of possible identity theft as well as theft by check in the amount of $346.86. No suspects were known at the time of the report.
*8:13pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of 1st Street regarding a suspicious vehicle that had been driving forward and backing up over and over again. According to the report contact was made with the driver, identified as 46-year-old Michael Langley, who was determined to be intoxicated. Langley was arrested and transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for a blood sample and then taken to the Brown County Jail.
*11:07pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Borden Street regarding an assault. According to the report, the victim stated she had been assaulted by an acquaintance. No arrest was made at the time of the report.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 26-year-old Krishawna Shanay Hamlett Rayburn for Driving While Intoxicated 1st.
Saturday, June 9
*1:43am-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Clements and Market Place Drive regarding speeding. According to the report, further investigation during the stop led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia and the driver was cited for the paraphernalia and released from the scene.
*5:33am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding harassment. According to the report, a male subject stated that he was being harassed by his ex-girlfriend.
*9:25am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Commerce Street regarding found property. According to the report, the complainant stated that while working on a construction crew remodeling the old Allsup’s convenience store, she located several identification and credit cards that appeared to have been left while the building was used as an Allsup’s business in what was possibly in a “lost and found” storage. The cards were taken to the BPD evidence room to for safe keeping, the report states. Most of the items appeared to be old and making contact with the owners proved difficult as house numbers and residences had apparently changed, the officer stated in the report.
*9:56am-Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding lost property or possibly the theft of a wallet.
*11:29am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Hall Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, sometime between 12:30am-11:20am this date, the complainant’s vehicle was burglarized while it was parked on Penn Street near the residence.
*1:08pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to EZ Pawn regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, a trespass warning was issued to the subject at the request of the business.
*8:10pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Austin Avenue regarding harassment. According to the report, the complainant’s ex-husband continually calls and texts her cell phone and place of employment.
*10:53pm-Brownwood police were called to the 1500 block of Davis Lane regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, the complainant stated that her 14-year-old sister had gone to take the trash out to the dumpster and when she did not return, she looked outside the apartment and saw her sister with a male she believed to be around 17-years-old. The officer identified the male and returned the sister to the apartment. The male was issued a criminal trespass warning at the complainant’s request. He then left the apartment complex.
Sunday, June 10
*9:03am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Avenue E regarding forgery. According to the report, the complainant stated that she was the victim and three possible suspects were identified.
*10:33am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Avenue C regarding the burglary of a motor vehicle.
*1:05pm-Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that the Brownwood Girls Softball Association was the victim of theft. Two blue First National Bank money bags containing $50 in one and $100 in another were stolen.
*2:30pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, a guest at the Budget Inn stated that some unknown suspect stole his billfold.
*8:44pm-Brownwood Police were called by a caseworker regarding the possible sexual assault of a client. According to the report, the client is disabled, living in a group home near the Dallas area. The complainant advised that the alleged assault occurred in Brownwood over the Memorial Day weekend. Information has been obtained from the caseworker and Adult Protective Services was contacted to conduct a follow-up investigation.
*10:31pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Elizabeth Drive regarding the violation of a protective order. According to the report, the suspect had left the scene prior to the officer’s arrival; however the officer, while en route, located the suspect identified as 49-year-old Donald Augustus Pressley. Pressley was found to have a protective order for the residence and was arrested for Violation of a Protective Order.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 25-year-old Raynaldo Maldonado, Jr. of Coleman for Evading Arrest/Detention with Vehicle after a DPS trooper attempted to stop him on his motorcycle for a license plate violation on Sunday evening. Maldonado led law enforcement officials through several streets in Early but was eventually stopped at the old Longhorn Stadium, where he left on foot and eventually gave up in a nearby yard according to law enforcement officials.
*Brownwood City Marshal arrested 18-year-old Karee Ann Schindler of Bangs for Assault Causing Bodily Injury family Violence.
Monday, June 11
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 56-year-old Donny Ray Manion of Early for Public Intoxication.
All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
