Friday, June 7

*9:27 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding identity theft.  According to the report, an unknown person used the complainant’s identity to obtain a loan.

*11:03 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of Temple Avenue regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, a female complainant stated she had been struck by a male suspect; however she declined medical attention.  The male subject was unable to be located, the report states.

*1:25 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart, 401 W. Commerce, regarding theft.  According to the report, a male suspect was identified by a loss prevention employee and issued a citation for theft under $50.  He was then released from the scene, the report states.

*2:02 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of credit card abuse.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown person had made unauthorized purchases online with her credit card and she wished to pursue criminal charges.

 

*2:54 PM – Brownwood police responded to the 300 block of Main Street, AirTemp Refrigeration, regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant reported that two employees had stolen various merchandise from the business and that the owners did wish to pursue charges when the suspects were located.  The business’ representative stated that the two individuals had confessed to stealing various items from the business.  The representative stated that over the past week he had noticed that the supply of copper wire was coming up short, the report states.  One employee was questioned and confessed that he and another employee had been taking things such as copper wire to local scrap yards to sell for cash, according to the report.  The two suspects were unable to be contacted at the time of the report; however the business representative stated that he had been getting several calls from the employee who had confessed and that he was “handling the situation,” the report states.    The total estimated value of the items stolen is between $200-500 and the case remains active, according to the report.

*8:38 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Victoria Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, a male subject identified himself as the victim; however he did not wish to pursue charges and walked out of the police department.

*11:53 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 1st Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she believed that her roommate stole 6 bags of assorted clothing and a portable DVD player.

* According to Early Chief of Police David Mercer, Officer Stephanie Haile and Deputy Pete Bastardo responded to Heartland Mall after Officer Haile received information of a wanted subject in the mall.  Mercer stated that Haile arrested 19-year-old Drew Allynn Reynolds of Decatur, Illinois for the armed robbery of a business in Augusta, Georgia and military desertion through the Ft. Griffin Military Police.  Reynolds was arrested without incident.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Lukas Scott Rootes on a parole violation.

*Brownwood Police arrested 40-year-old Michael Shannon Turner for theft of property by check.

Saturday, June 8

*2:54 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding a citizen’s dispute.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 18-year-old Nathan Blake Gonzales for possession of marijuana.

*8:19 AM – A Brownwood Police officer, while on patrol, noticed the locks were cut from three storage building doors and that attempts to cut the locks on two other units had also been made.  The units were processed and the renters of the units contacted, according to the report.

*10:22 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2900 block of Cottage Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his round oversized tan wicker chair had been stolen from the front porch of his residence.  No suspects were able to be identified at the time of the report.

*10:50 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of 7th Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the tires on the complainant’s vehicle had been slashed and no suspects were able to be identified at the time of the report.

*3:40 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Avenue C regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime between noon and 3:30 p.m., someone had forced open the front door of her residence.  Nothing had been damaged or taken from inside the home.

*3:47 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, store employees stated that the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Charles Devlyn Dyess of Abilene, had concealed an unknown amount of DVDs in his backpack.  Dyess was issued a trespass warning for Wal-Mart and was found to have 17 DVDs concealed in his backpack, valued at $481.32, the report states.  Wal-Mart did wish to pursue criminal charges and Dyess was arrested for theft greater than $50 less than $500.  The DVDs were returned to the store.

*7:04 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of criminal mischief from the owner of a property on Romero Street. According to the report, the owner stated that a former tenant had damaged and removed fixtures from the property.

*8:10 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to Green River Drive regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, the complainant wished a criminal trespass warning be issued to the suspect.  The suspect was located as he drove away from the property and was found to be intoxicated as well as in possession of an open alcoholic beverage inside his vehicle, according to the report.  The suspect, identified as 44-year-old John Simmons, was arrested for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more, the report states.

*11:14 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Cordell Street regarding an unwanted person beating on the back door.  According to the report, call led to the arrest of 58-year-old Knowel Beeman for public intoxication and he was additionally issued a criminal trespass warning for the residence.

*Brownwood Police arrested 51-year-old James Anthony Bilbrey on a Potter County warrant for burglary of a vehicle.

Sunday, June 9

*11:48 AM – Brownwood Police were called to a residence regarding possible child abuse/neglect.  The complainant voiced concerns over bruises and a rash located on the child.  A referral has been made to Child Protective Services, the report states.

*12:58 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to Robin Lane regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he had arrived to his lake house to find that his sliding glass door had been damaged.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Joseph Mark Anderson for furnish alcohol to minor

*Brownwood Police arrested 32-year-old Shiona Beck on a Bexar County warrant for obstruct highway-intoxication.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 47-year-old Joseph Wayne Hudson for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.

*Bangs Police arrested 35-year-old Simon Guerrero Carreon of Austin for knowingly altered license plate.

*Brownwood Police arrested 35-year-old Tina Louise Jimenez of Abilene on a Callahan County warrant for theft by check.

*Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden arrested John W. Kennedy for boating while intoxicated.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested Bryan Dee Penn II for driving while intoxicated open container.

*Early Police arrested 26-year-old Rebecca Elizabeth Stringer for driving while intoxicated.
