Law enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday and Friday, June 9-10, 2011.

Wednesday, June 8

*7:05am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Coggin Avenue where a business owner reported finding an empty purse in his parking lot.

*9:31am-Brownwood Police were called to the Fast Lane Car Wash in the 1800 block of Belle Plain regarding a case of burglary.  According to the report, the complainant reported four coin boxes were pried open and an undetermined amount of quarters were stolen.  There was no suspect information at the time of the report.

*12:54pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to a burglary of a motor vehicle in the 2800 block of Southside.  A stereo had been taken during the burglary the report states.  There were no known suspects at the time of the report.

*4:48pm-Brownwood Police received a report from a mail carrier that she had been bitten by two small dogs in the 1600 block of Avenue B.

*4:58pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Main Blvd. regarding criminal mischief and theft.  A suspect was known and charges are being filed.  Damaged property included antiques and Dish Network equipment.

*5:59pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 3800 block of 4th Street regarding theft.  The complainant stated that a male subject had come into the convenience store and offered to leave his Texas driver’s license if she would turn on the fuel pump.  The clerk did turn on the pump when he told her he would be back in to pay for the fuel.  The subject failed to pay for the fuel and left the scene.

*6:39pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of 9th Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the tire of her vehicle had been punctured overnight on June 1st by an unknown person.

*7:20pm-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 900 block of Avenue H.  The driver was identified as 39-year-old Jacinto Esquivel Delacruz, whom dispatch advised and confirmed had six outstanding warrants for his arrest.  Delacruz was arrested for the six outstanding warrants and was arrested for Driving While License Invalid.

*11:46pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive where a woman reported her husband as a missing person.  According to the report, he had left walking in an unknown direction and had not returned.

Thursday, June 9

*8:00am-A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was called to a storage business in Blanket regarding the burglary of several storage units.  According to the report, locks were cut off and 7 units were rummaged through.   Stolen property included a 32-inch Sony television, a corded Dewalt reciprocating saw, Dewalt corded drill, Dewalt hand held grinder, two Husky tool boxes, miscellaneous drill bits and files, four chrome 17-inch wheels with star designs on the hubcaps, and an old brown saddle.  No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*5:14pm-Brownwood Police received a report that a male was high on bath salts in the 1800 block of Avenue E and would not let his wife leave the residence.

* Early Police Officer Amanda Williams stopped a vehicle in connection to an investigation being conducted while looking for a wanted felon.  The driver was identified as 18-year-old Monica Martin.  According to Early Police Department, while conducting the investigation, Officer Williams could smell the odor of marijuana in the vehicle.  Martin denied having marijuana and denied having smoked any; however, when officers looked through the car they located a cigarette box containing marijuana on top of the console and a baggie of marijuana in the console the report states.  Williams placed Martin under arrest for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz and booked into the Brown county jail.

Friday, June 10

*12:09am-Brownwood Police responded to a civil matter in the 900 block of 11th Street.  According to the report, a man reported that his girlfriend had assaulted him at a residence at the above location.

*12:11am-A Brownwood Policeman made a traffic stop in the 500 block of W. Commerce.  According to the report, an odor of alcohol was detected.  The driver, identified as 22-year-old Misha Nicole Gibbs was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated after admitting to drinking two cups of tequila and failing standard field sobriety tests, the report states.  Gibbs was transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center for a blood draw.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
