Law enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, May 9, 2016
Friday, May 6
*3:35 PM – The Early Police Department and Brownwood Police Department executed a search warrant at 1617 Lane Street in Brownwood with assistance from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office and the Comanche Police Department. According to the report, the search warrant, authorized by County Court at Law Judge Sam Moss, was for methamphetamine and ordered the arrest of 50-year-old John Michael Salazar. Salazar was found in possession of methamphetamine and the paraphernalia for the use and distribution of methamphetamine. Salazar was booked into the Brown County Jail for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1, more than 1 gram but less than 4 grams. This offense is a 3rd degree felony and has a punishment range of 2 or more years, but not more than 10 years; and a fine not exceeding $10,000, according to Early Chief of Police David Mercer. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected. Salazar was later released on $10,000 bond.
*5:33 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of disorderly conduct at an RV Park in Early, Texas. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 25-year-old Brennon O’Shea McDowell of Brownwood for public intoxication.
*7:51 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report by phone of credit/debit card abuse. According to the report, the complainant stated that her credit card was discovered missing and that it had been used at a local store on this date.*9:15 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Magnolia regarding an unwanted subject.
*11:35 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of 8th Street and Center Avenue. According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of 58-year-old Timmy Ray Denbow of Grand Prairie for the offense of manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams. Denbow was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $25,000 as of Monday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 50-year-old Jacky Wayne Carter of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram. Carter was later released on $15,000 bond.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42-year-old Jackie Eugene Eldred of Coleman on a warrant related to a parole warrant.
*Brownwood Police arrested 53-year-old Geronimo Mindieta of Brownwood for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone, possession of drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication.
*Brownwood Police arrested 38-year-old Gabriel D. Rivera of Brownwood on a warrant related to assault causes bodily injury family violence.
Saturday, May 7
*12:07 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Avenue B regarding an incident of assault family violence with injury. According to the report, the victim stated that she had been assaulted by her estranged husband.
*7:37 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Avenue D regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the female complainant stated that she and her young adult son had been assaulted by a relative the night before. The female later discovered that the paint on her vehicle had been damaged, possibly by the suspect relative. The officer documented these incidents of assault family violence and criminal mischief.
*8:48 AM – Brownwood police were dispatched to the 1800 block of 16th Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the caller stated that someone had poured sugar in the gas tank of her son’s pickup sometime during the night. Possible suspects were identified and the incident was documented.
*9:48 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Dublin Drive regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that a pair of blue jeans and a tank top had been stolen off of her clothesline Friday, May 6, at approximately 12:00 p.m.
*10:57 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Avenue B regarding domestic disturbance.
*11:42 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a residence near Lake Brownwood to a report of a domestic disturbance in progress. According to the report, two male subjects had been involved in a physical altercation. This call led to the arrest of 37-year-old Brad Fulcher Sr. of Bangs, Texas, who appeared to be the primary aggressor in the assault, for Class A assault family violence, according to the report.
*11:52 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Morris Street regarding an assault.
*11:59 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at a residence in Blanket, Texas regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, a male complainant stated that his soon to be ex-wife had pushed him after arriving at his residence uninvited.
*Brown county Sheriff’s Office arrested 52-year-old Joettea Jean Mays of May on warrants related to motions to revoke for driving while license invalid and display fictitious registration.
*Brownwood Police arrested 38-year-old Barbara Ann Navarro of Bangs for injury to a child with intentional bodily injury and assault causes bodily injury family violence.
Sunday, May 8
*2:09 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Magnolia regarding criminal mischief.
*12:03 PM – Brownwood police were called to the 1000 block of Lillie Kimble Street regarding the theft of a bicycle. According to the report, the theft occurred sometime between 8 p.m. on Saturday and minutes prior to the time of the call. The bicycle was described as an antique red colored Schwinn boy’s bicycle with chrome fenders.
*12:42 PM – Brownwood police were dispatched to the 2900 block of Vincent Street regarding drugs/narcotics activity. According to the report, several items of paraphernalia were seized and an investigation is ongoing.
*2:06 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of Avenue B regarding a civil standby. According to the report, an alleged assault had occurred between a couple. The incident of assault family violence with injury was documented.
*6:03 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.
*6:34 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of 4th Street regarding an assault. According to the report, the victim stated she had been assaulted by a suspect whom she had met recently.
*11:44 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Magnolia Street regarding theft.
*A Texas Parks and Wildlife Department game warden arrested 37-year-old Stephanie Lynne Blackburn of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated 2nd.
*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Carrie Lyn Cox of Brownwood on a surety withdrawal related to forgery to defraud or harm elderly.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old John Austin Gregory of Brownwood for assault causes injury family violence.
*Bangs Police arrested 44-year-old Dale Walker, Jr. of Santa Anna on a Taylor County warrant related to harassment.
