Wednesday, May 6

*8:48 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding a report of animal cruelty.  According to the report, an incident of animal cruelty and assault family violence was documented.

*11:49 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 900 block of 7th Street regarding a civil matter.  According to the report, the burglary of a habitation was investigated, the suspect is known.

*2:44 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding a hit and run.  According to the report, a vehicle had backed into the complainant’s car and left the scene.

*5:43 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 900 block of W. Baker regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant stated someone had broken into his home and stole electronic items including a game system, games and accessories.

Thursday, May 7

*7:40 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of Austin Avenue regarding a hit and run accident.   According to the report, a semi truck had struck a cross walk signal pole at the intersection of Austin Avenue and Magnolia.

*8:20 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding theft.  According to the report, prescription medication was stolen from the residence.

*9:10 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 4500 block of Danhil Drive, regarding theft.  According to the complainant, a variety of tools and supplies were stolen from the company, including copper wire.  A report of theft greater than $1500 less than $20,000 was taken.

*10:46 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made consensual contact with a vehicle which was parked in a driveway near the intersection of Highway 279 and Brown County Road 467.  According to the deputy, during the contact, suspicious behavior and conflicting stories converted the consensual contact into a detention.

*10:57 AM – Brownwood Police assisted the Adult Probation Department with a probation search at a residence in the 1400 block of Beaver Street.  During the search, a quantity of methamphetamine was located inside the residence, according to the report.  One suspect, identified as 30-year-old John Robert Quick of Brownwood, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*12:32 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Avenue H regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, electronics along with athletic shoes were stolen in the incident.

*12:32 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Fisk Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, the suspect was located at her residence, and the stolen items were recovered and later returned to the store.

*4:37 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to FM 252 regarding a report of the unauthorized use of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant allowed a known subject to borrow his vehicle to go to the store and buy some beer and the vehicle was not returned.

*7:37 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 800 block of Brady Avenue.  This stop led to the arrest of the juvenile driver, for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 24-year-old Ashton Blake Locke of Brownwood for warrants related to no driver’s license, expired registration and expired motor vehicle inspection.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Stevie Lee Rose of Brownwood on Scurry County  warrants related to theft of property less than or equal to $20 less than $500 by check, failure to maintain financial responsibility, display expired registration and failure to appear/bail jumping.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Lynn Hamilton Scott of Lake Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and warrants related to two counts of bond forfeiture/theft of service.
