Wednesday, May 6
*9:04 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of 4th Street regarding the theft of a bicycle.
*11:48 AM – Brownwood Police received a report via telephone call from a complainant who stated she believed a sex offender had given a false address and place of work to police when registering as a sex offender.
*11:26 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the area of 4th Street and Avenue E regarding a citizens’ dispute. According to the report, a male subject was identified as a suspect who had an active warrant and was determined to have assaulted a female with a sword. The victim sustained minor injuries and wished to pursue criminal charges for the assault. The suspect, later identified as 18-year-old Jadarius Williams of Brownwood, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
*11:45 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 2nd Street regarding an assault. According to the report, an investigation determine that a female who was standing outside of the residence was stabbed by a known suspect who drove by the house then drove by a second time, getting out of his vehicle and then stabbing her in the cheek and the top of her head. A male subject at the scene attempted to defend the woman by moving her out of the way and was also stabbed by the suspect, the report states. The suspect then drove away, according to the report. Both the male and female victims were transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room where they were treated for their injuries. Police state that the two victims are recovering from their injuries.
*Brownwood Police arrested 20-year-old Shaneese Laney Kirven of Coleman on a warrant related to assault causes bodily injury family violence.
*39-year-old Michael Royce Hobbs was arrested on a parole violation related to assault.
Thursday, May 7
*2:42 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Main Street regarding the burglary of a coin operated machine. During this call, officers located and apprehended a male subject, identified as 36-year-old Vernon Sanders of Abilene, who had been caught burglarizing a coke machine at the above location. Sanders was subsequently charged with the burglary of a coin operated machine.
