Friday, May 4

*1:35am-A Brownwood Police officer was on patrol in the 200 block of Fisk Avenue when he observed the front right passenger window of a pickup to be broken out.  No suspect information was available at the time of the incident.

*7:40am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of 1st Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the complainant, a female put sugar in the gas tank of her vehicle and broke the front door handle of the vehicle.  No arrests were made at the time of the report; however a possible suspect was determined and the case is pending further investigation, the report states.

*8:04am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of 3rd Street regarding the theft of a bicycle.  According to the report, the complainant stated the bicycle was stolen from the porch of his residence between the hours of 3:00am and the time of the call to the police.  No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*10:50am-A Brownwood Police officer was on patrol in the 1600 block of 7th Street when he observed a small motorcycle traveling southbound past his patrol vehicle on the wrong side of the roadway which did not have a visible license plate.  According to the report, a stop was made and the driver was found to be in possession of marijuana and a pipe that he claimed he found in the street.  The subject was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia and as well as operate unregistered motor vehicle, the report states.

*8:31pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Avenue X due to a defective license plate lamp.  The drive of the vehicle, 44-year-old Jose Sotelo, was arrested for Driving while License Invalid with Previous Convictions.

*11:24pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Southside regarding an assault.  According to the report, a woman advised that her 15-year-old son was assaulted by another juvenile.

*Bangs Police Department arrested 49-year-old Denisa Ann Johnston of Early for Public Intoxication and Wayne D. Johnston for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz and Display Fictitious License Plate.

Saturday, May 5

*12:03am-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Duke Street. According to the report, subsequent investigation showed that the driver, 29-year-old Brooke Cherie Smith, was intoxicated.  Smith was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While License Invalid.  The report states that Smith consented to a blood draw at Brownwood Regional Medical Center and then was taken to the Brown County Jail.

*2:49pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Milton regarding found property.  The owner of the residence came to do some yard work and found a bicycle in the back yard of the residence.  The bike was collected and taken the Brownwood Police Department impound until it can be properly identified and claimed by its owner.

*4:03pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Dublin Drive regarding a wallet that had been found.  According to the report, the officer located the owner of the wallet and learned that a burglary of a residence had occurred in Brownwood and that the wallet was among the items taken.  It was returned to the owner and suspects to the burglary have been identified, the report states.

*5:57pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of N. Main Blvd regarding a citizen dispute.  According to the report, the driver of an SUV had struck an elderly man and they were now arguing in the street.  After further investigation, the driver, 50-year-old Jeffery Kite, was placed under arrest for Injury to an Elderly Individual.

*10:44pm-Brownwood Police received a report of a hit and run accident involving a parked car in the 1800 block of 8th Street.  According to the report, the incident is believed to have occurred between 6:30pm and 10:40pm.  The suspect vehicle sustained minor damage to the trunk and rear bumper, the report states.  No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*10:56pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Avenue B.  This stop led to the arrest of 25-year-old Marcus Daniel Gray for Driving While License Invalid; and three outstanding warrants.

*Early Police Department arrested 62-year-old Hugh Carson Barr of May for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd.

*Bangs Police Department arrested 19-year-old Joushua Jacob Lewis of Shamrock for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

*Bangs Police Department arrested 21-year-old Jon Michael Walker of Shamrock for Possession of Marijuana Less than 2 oz. in a Drug Free zone

Sunday, May 6

*6:54am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Belmeade regarding an animal bite.  Investigation revealed that a woman was walking her dog in the 2200 block of Elizabeth when she was bitten by a brown and black dog.  According to the report, the owner of the dog was located and Animal Control was contacted.

*12:06pm-Brownwood Police received a report of an alleged aggravated sexual assault.  According to the report, a suspect has been identified.

*1:19pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of 1st Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, investigation indicated that a female assaulted her husband as well as a second female who was at the residence.  No arrest was made at the time of the report.

*1:25pm-A Brownwood Police officer was dispatched to the area of 2nd Street and Brady Avenue regarding a one-vehicle accident.  According to the report, the driver of the vehicle, identified as 23-year-old Jesse M. Mascorro was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.  Mascorro submitted to a blood draw which was placed in the BPD property room as evidence.

*5:39pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of Booker Street regarding the burglary of a building.  According to the report, four window air conditioner units were stolen from a vacant house at this location.  No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*7:18pm-Brownwood Police received a report of child abuse.   According to the report, the complainant stated that when her 5-year-old son returned  home from his father’s apartment, he had a suspicious injury just below his right eye.  The complainant stated that the injury was consistent with someone striking her son in the face with a closed fist while wearing a square shaped ring, the report states.  Child Protective Services was contacted regarding this case.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jennifer Loraine Crader of Blanket for Driving While Intoxicated.

*Early Police Department arrested 68-year-old Thomas Nardone of Early for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.

*Early Police arrested 39-year-old Monte Carlos Needham of Early for Driving while License Invalid with Previous Convictions.

Monday, May 7

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Kathrine Early for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Thomas James Stevens of Ranger for Possession of Marijuana.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
