Sunday, May 4
*7:52 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3600 block of Surrey Lane regarding the theft of a motor vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that two female subjects took his vehicle without permission. The investigation is ongoing according to police.
Monday, May 5
*1:15 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Austin Avenue, the Daybreak facility, regarding an assault. According to the report, 30-year-old Shawnee Lynn Teague of Brownwood, a resident of the home, was arrested for simple assault.
*1:16 PM – Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant at the law enforcement center about identity theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that his daughter had used his information to obtain a student loan and moved to Provo, Utah where she enrolled in college. She obtained the loan through the school to pay for the costs of attending.* 1:49 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding a hit and run accident. According to the report, the complainant stated that her vehicle was struck in the Wal-Mart parking lot and the suspect left the scene. Surveillance video and the suspect’s license plate number were provided by store employees, the report states. The complainant wishes to pursue charges according to police.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Taylor Fletcher was dispatched to a residence on County Road 551 regarding animal cruelty. According to the report, an investigation determined the animal had died as a result of an accident.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Delories Kay Barnett of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/secure execution of document by deception.
*Bangs Police arrested 31-year-old Chelsea Rene Mallone of Bangs for abandon endanger child criminal negligence and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested Darlene Dillard Mitchell of Cross Plains on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*Bangs Police arrested 28-year-old Shayla Marie Oliver of Bangs related to abandon endanger child, driving while license invalid with previous conviction and possession of marijuana.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Erica Ordaz of Sweetwater on a warrant related to a surety withdrawal/unauthorized use of vehicle and two counts of failure to appear/possession of a dangerous drug. Ordaz was later released from the Brown County Jail on bonds totaling $14,000.
