Sunday, May 1
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of fraud involving a financial instrument. According to the report, the complainant stated someone had stolen a check from his wife’s purse and used the check for a purchase at AT&T.
Monday, May 2
*1:01 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Austin Avenue regarding two counterfeit $20 bills. According to the report, the caller advised that she had received the two counterfeit bills in a deposit.
*5:04 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of credit/debit card abuse which occurred in the 1000 block of N. Fisk Avenue regarding credit/debit card abuse. A follow-up interview was conducted and it was determined that the incident involved credit card/debit card abuse as well as class C theft.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of illegal dumping on County Road 317 in Early, TX. According to the report, a deputy investigated the incident and identified two suspects.Tuesday, May 3
*8:18 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding illegal dumping.
*11:09 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property in Brown County regarding a report of assault family violence. According to the report, the victim stated he and the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Nakita Brittly Franklin of Early, were arguing over a phone. The victim stated Franklin attacked him in his car causing injuries to his nose, neck, and arm, according to the report. Franklin was arrested and taken to the Brown County Jail.
*Brownwood Police arrested 25-year-old Amado Dakota Carrasco on warrants related to theft greater than $1500 less than $20,000 (Lubbock County) and on a surety withdrawal related to driving while license invalid (Travis County). Carrasco was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $13,000 as of Wednesday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42-year-old Saul Garcia of Midland, Texas on a warrant related to failure to appear/assault causes bodily injury family violence. Garcia was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $7500 bond as of Wednesday morning.
*Brownwood Police arrested 24-year-old Joel Larrea of Brownwood on a warrant related to criminal mischief equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Darryan Alexandria Solis of Brownwood on a warrant related to possession of a controlled substance.
Wednesday, May 4
* Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 33-year-old William Rockland Harless for driving while intoxicated 2nd.
