Thursday, April 30

*8:25 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the window of the business had been broken and an investigation determined a brick appeared to have been thrown through the glass.

*3:58 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Walmart regarding theft.  According to the report, a subject loaded a Snapper AWD lawn mower into the back of a red and silver pickup and left the store without paying.

Friday, May 1

*9:17 AM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding forgery.  According to the report, the suspect is known and the investigation is ongoing.

*1:16 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of Main Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the owner of the vehicle stated that while he was driving, the driver’s side window of his vehicle had been “shot out.”

*1:44 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of W. Baker Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, the suspect is known.

*4:08 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a vehicle accident in the 1500 block of Main Street where one of the drivers was determined to be intoxicated according to police.  The driver, identified as 20-year-old Kaylom Ryan Campbell of Brownwood, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone, the report states.

*4:25 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Belmeade regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant’s tablet had been stolen from inside her home around the date of February 9, 2015.  The incident is being further investigated, the report states.

*6:28 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of 10th Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, two victims advised police they were assaulted by a known person.

*10:54 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Coggin Avenue regarding speeding.  According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 23-year-old Kyle Evan Kemp of Coleman, for driving while intoxicated.

*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Callie Mariah Browne of Brady on a Concho County warrant related to tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 65-year-old Maurice Whitney of Brownwood on a warrant related to probation violation/driving while intoxicated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 51-year-old Johnny Lino Garcia of Brownwood on warrants related to motion to adjudicate/prohibited weapon/weapon free zone and motion to revoke/possession of a controlled substance drug free zone.

*Brown County sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old David John Johnson of Midland on a Lubbock County warrant related to motion to revoke/theft.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 50-year-old Dannie Weir Patterson of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

Saturday, May 2

*2:51 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the report of an assault at a south Brownwood home.  According to the report, the complainant stated he had gone to the house with a friend and while greeting subjects inside, he encountered his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend who began assaulting him.  The complainant stated that the male suspect left the residence when he was pulled off of the victim.  Charges are being pursued, the report states.

*11:23 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding fraud.  According to the report, checks stolen during a burglary in Brady had been passed in Brownwood totaling $1800.  The investigation is ongoing for both the burglary and the forgery cases, the report states.

*5:53 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding theft.  According to the report, the loss prevention office reported that a male subject had stolen $35.15 worth of items.  The male was issued a citation, the report states.

*6:00 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received information that a wanted subject, identified as 34-year-old Brady Ryan Perkins of Valera, was at an address on Coggin Avenue.  The deputy arrived at the residence to find Perkins standing beside a vehicle in front of the home along with another person, identified as 22-year-old David Michael Allison of Abilene.  Perkins was arrested on a Brown County warrant and Allison was arrested on a Brownwood PD warrant. When asked if there was anything illegal in the car both subjects stated no; however, Perkins, once Allison was in the patrol car, stated that there was methamphetamine in the driver’s side door, which belonged to Allison who had allegedly brought to Brownwood to sell, the report states.  Neither subject claimed the methamphetamine and both were subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams in a drug free zone, due to the stop being within 1000 feet of Kinder Kare daycare.

*6:37 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of 3rd Street regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the victim stated that during the burglary, electronic items including a television and a laptop had been stolen from the residence.

*6:51 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Avenue A regarding a scam.  According to the report, the complainant stated he has sent money to Jamaica and Midland due to a male subject stating he was with Publisher’s Clearing House and that he had won a large sum of money.

*11:13 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding a domestic dispute.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Myra Lynn Robledo of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.

*38-year-old Severo Torres, Jr. of Brownwood turned himself in on warrants related to 5 counts of non-reportable offenses and for violate promise to appear.

Sunday, May 3

*1:01 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of S. Greenleaf regarding criminal mischief to a vehicle.

*5:04 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Avenue B regarding the theft of a vehicle.

*5:34 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of 4th Street regarding drugs/narcotics.  According to the report, investigation showed there was no drug activity going on; however one subject, identified as 29-year-old Robert Johnson of Abilene was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces as a result of this call.

*5:41 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of the theft of a wallet.

*5:48 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1300 block of Avenue D regarding an alleged sexual assault.  According to the report, the complainant stated her daughter was receiving provocative messages via a KIK account.  The investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*6:30 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop in the area of Beaver Street and W. Commerce.  According to the report, the passenger, identified as 35-year-old Lillian Baker of Bangs, was very nervous and admitted to the officer that there was methamphetamine under the seat.  Three baggies were located, the report states.  The driver, identified as 46-year-old William Ray Baker of Bangs, stated that he had no knowledge of the narcotics.  Lillian claimed ownership of the methamphetamine and stated that there was more in her house in Bangs during questioning.  Lillian gave consent for officers to search her home for the methamphetamine, where a plate with .72 grams and a bag containing 110 small baggies for distribution were located in the house, the report states.  Lillian admitted to officers that she sold methamphetamine from the house and both Lillian and William Baker were subsequently arrested for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams and less than 200 grams, the report states.

*7:20 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of N. Center Avenue regarding a hit and run accident that occurred at a north Brownwood business.  According to the report, the suspect was located and informed officers that he had left the scene of the accident and drove home because he did not have a Texas issued driver’s license.  The suspect, identified as 21-year-old Tommy Wade Stanley of Early, was placed under arrest for fleeing scene of accident greater than $200 and driving while license invalid, according to police.

*Brownwood Police arrested 33-year-old Adam Lee Franqui of Brownwood on a Taylor County warrant related to theft.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old James Lee Kinsey of Bangs on four warrants related to motion to adjudicate/failure to appear/driving while license invalid with previous conviction, 3 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and for evading arrest or detention with vehicle.  Kinsey was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $47,100 as of Monday morning.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 46-year-old Christopher Whitehead of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 48-year-old Laurie Rene Whitehead for public intoxicated.

Monday, May 4

*12:40 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Coggin Avenue.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 36-year-old Karen Lynn Thomas of Brownwood was arrested after being found to have a suspended Texas driver’s license and showed to have prior convictions for the same offense.  Thomas was charged with driving while license invalid with previous conviction.
