Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of Fisk Avenue regarding suspicious activity around 8:23pm on Wednesday. According to the report, the officers located two duffle bags containing copper pipe and other scrap metals. The pipes appeared to have been thrown off of the roof of the Sid Richardson (aka Brownwood Hotel) building. Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to the scene to gain access to the roof of the building. After a brief search of the building, no suspects were located, the report states. According to police, a traffic stop was made on a vehicle which made six passes driving by the building and eventually pulled into the back parking lot. This stop and contact with the two subjects in the vehicle revealed the identity of two subjects inside the building. At the time of the report, the investigation was still underway.

Wednesday, May 2
*7:35am-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Brown Street regarding a burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a green purse and portable DVD player were stolen from the complainant’s van during the offense.
*8:23am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Gifford Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, several items including a $50 bill, $20 in quarters, a few electronics accessories, 5 cans of spray paint, as well as a carton of cigarettes were stolen from the complainant’s van.
*6:51pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of Main Street regarding an assault. According to the report, the male complainant stated that his girlfriend had assaulted him and caused approximately $2500 damage to his motorcycle. The complainant did not wish to pursue criminal charges against his girlfriend.
*9:18pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Main Blvd. regarding a stolen bicycle. According to the report, between the hours of 6:40pm and 8:00pm this date, the complainant son’s bicycle was stolen off of her front porch.
*10:30pm-Brownwood Police were called to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center regarding an assault. According to the report, a juvenile reported he was assaulted by a 15-year-old juvenile on Crothers Street in front of his residence.
*10:56pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that her son’s bicycle had been stolen from the backyard of the residence within the last few minutes before the officer’s arrived.
Thursday, May 3
*2:37am-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a residence in Brownwood regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the couple was arguing about their debt which the female stated led to the male, identified as Daniel Shane Sisson, pushing the female as he went moved past her during the argument. When the deputy frisked Sisson for safety, he noticed a bulge in Session’s shorts pocket which was a baggie of marijuana, the report states. More marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found in a lock box inside the house. Sisson was arrested for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.; however he was not charged with Assault Family Violence because there were no visible injuries and no evidence to support either party’s story regarding a possible assault, the report states.
All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
