Sunday, May 25
*Brownwood Police were called to a home on 7th Street to a reported stabbing. According to the initial call, a subject had been stabbed in the back with a knife; however, when officers and EMS arrived on scene, the investigation determined that the male fell, accidentally landing on the knife. The call was simply a medical emergency rather than a criminal investigation.

*2:57 AM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.
Wednesday, May 28
*12:15 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on County Road 456 regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had broken out several windows on his residence as well as damaging the front and rear doors causing approximately $5,000 in damage. It was also stated that the suspects trashed the inside of the residence, according to the report.
*11:19 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a local motel in the 400 block of E. Commerce regarding an assault. According to the report, the complainant stated that he was assaulted by a coworker. As a result of the call, 28-year-old Johnny Delgado, Jr. of Wichita Falls was arrested for assault causing bodily injury.*11:22 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 800 block of 9th Street. After an investigation was completed, 41-year-old Kelvin Dewayne Russell of Brownwood was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop in the 6900 block of FM 2492 on a vehicle with no license plate lamp. According to the report, an investigation led to the arrest of 35-year-old Dustin Wayne Lindley of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and tampering/fabricating physical evidence.
*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Tony Brazz Burns of Brownwood on a warrant related to a parole violation.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Gabriel Louis Hinojosa of Brownwood on a warrant related to criminal nonsupport.
*28-year-old Jeremy Lee Ortega of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to a violation of a bond/protective order.
*Brownwood Police arrested 34-year-old Rafael Renteria, Jr. of Brownwood on a warrant related to a parole violation.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Gavin Edward Smith of Kyle on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/aggravated assault with deadly weapon. Smith was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
