Tuesday, May 26

*7:26 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to County Road 411 regarding an assault.  According to the report, the victim stated that the suspect was moving out of the property and had attacked the victim when he confronted the suspect about some property.  A criminal trespass warning was issued to the suspect at the request of the victim.

*8:48 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Avenue D regarding a domestic disturbance.

Wednesday, May 27

*1:53 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1800 block of 3rd Street which led to a consent search of the vehicle which located drugs and paraphernalia.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 23-year-old Tommy John Wayne Clay of Brownwood, was issued a citation for the observed traffic violation and was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.

*9:48 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Avenue D regarding a defective brake light.  According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of 19-year-old Zachary Lane Clark, 17-year-old Merideth Boykin, and 18-year-old Jessie Walker, all of Brownwood, for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.

*11:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of 11th Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, a handgun was stolen from the vehicle.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to the Brown County Courthouse, the Tax Assessor’s Office, regarding a counterfeit ten dollar bill which had been used to purchase replacement plates.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report of a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, a family dispute over payment of a water bill caused an assault; however, none of the parties wished to pursue charges.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Joe Wayne Bastardo on warrants related to criminal trespass with a deadly weapon and on a parole violation.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41-year-old Christopher Edward Payne of Goldthwaite on a warrant related to criminal nonsupport.

*Brownwood Police arrested 18-year-old Harley Williams of Brownwood for criminal trespass of a habitation.

Thursday, May 28

*A Brown County deputy transported a female inmate, identified as Yajaira Lugo, to the Brown County Jail for an outstanding warrant issued from the Brownwood Police Department.  According to the report, when Lugo was searched by a jailer, a clear glass pipe with a white residue was located in the right side of her bra.  The pipe tested positive for methamphetamine and Lugo was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*27-year-old Jonathan Wesley Branscum of Bangs was arrested on a warrant related to failure to appear/possession of a controlled substance and on a surety withdrawal for driving while license invalid.  Branscum was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $18,000 as of Thursday morning.
