Sunday, May 22
*Early Police received a report of a domestic disturbance at a local motel where the neighboring rooms could hear a woman screaming for help. According to the report, when officers arrived and approached the room, they could hear screaming coming from the room. Officers gained access to the room and located a male assaulting a female along with 3 children (ages 1, 8 & 9) in the room, the report states. The victim had obvious injuries where the male suspect had grabbed her around the neck and attempted to strangle her, according to police. The male suspect, identified as 35-year-old Joe McFarland Cheyne, was placed under arrest for assault family violence-impede breath/circulation and taken to the Brown County Jail. Cheyne was later released on $10,000 bond. An emergency protective order was requested and CPS was notified of the incident due to it occurring in front of the kids, according to the report.
Monday, May 23
*5:55 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Avenue B regarding debit/credit card abuse. According to the report, as a result of this abuse, $80.23 was stolen from the victim.*An Early Police officer made a traffic stop in the 900 block of Early Blvd for a signal violation coming off highway 183 South. According to the report, as the officer approached the vehicle, he could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer asked if they had been smoking marijuana and the driver replied “yes” but only when they were in Colorado, where they just traveled from. The officer conducted a probable cause search on the vehicle and located a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle along with some drug paraphernalia, the report states. In addition, the officer located a locked compartment which the driver refused to open, according to the report. Early Police Detective Billy Bloom arrived on scene and secured a search warrant for the vehicle which was signed by Judge Cavanaugh, according to the report. Inside the compartment, officers located glass jar containing 34 grams of marijuana, a plastic bag containing 63.5 grams of marijuana, a Velcro bag containing 62 grams of marijuana, a glass pipe, digital scales, a jar labeled vitamin supplement with pills believed to be made from marijuana and other miscellaneous items, according to the report. The driver, identified as 20-year-old Jonathan Michael Livermore and passenger 18-year-old Aubrey Grace Santini, both from Colorado Springs, Colorado, who are currently staying in Brownwood, were placed under arrest for felony possession of marijuana in a drug free zone and for possession of drug paraphernalia, the report states.
Tuesday, May 24
*2:38 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, a witness observed, on video, an unknown male subject steal a saw from the business.
*4:28 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of fraudulent use/possession of identifying information.
*5:27 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Crockett Drive regarding disorderly conduct. According to the report, while on scene, an officer met with a victim of an unrelated incident regarding an assault. The victim was uncooperative with the officer who also spoke to the suspect, the report states. The investigation showed the suspect had committed aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and the incident was documented, according to the report.
*6:36 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Monticello Street regarding criminal mischief.
*8:53 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3700 block of Savoy Drive regarding an assault.
*11:19 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of 13th Street regarding a domestic disturbance. As a result of this call, 36-year-old Thomas Holland of Brownwood was arrested for assault causes bodily injury family violence, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend had vandalized her vehicle by pouring water into the gas tank. She also stated that the suspect had shot a television with a pellet gun and has been prowling around her home at night, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year-old Sean Ray Brown of Brownwood on warrants related to evading arrest detention and a parole warrant.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old Michael Keith Hall of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to register as sex offender.
*A Texas Parks and Wildlife Department game warden arrested 37-year-old Russell Owen Osbourn of Brownwood for refusal to sign citation – open container of alcohol and public intoxication.
*Early Police arrested 38-year-old Gabriel D. Rivera of Brownwood on a parole warrant.
Wednesday, May 25
*11:51 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Magnolia Street regarding a domestic disturbance.
