Friday, May 20

*2:20 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at a property near Lake Brownwood.  According to the report, as the deputies arrived, the suspect advised that he and his wife were in an altercation which resulted in him accidentally hitting her in the face. The victim was not on scene and unable to be located in the area.

*4:38 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of Walnut Street regarding a civil matter.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a male subject had taken her child’s car seat and would not return it.

*4:52 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Southside Drive regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, a juvenile was taken into custody for criminal mischief greater than $100 less than $750.  The juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.

*47-year-old Sandra Day of Early, Texas turned herself in on a probation violation.

*Brownwood Police arrested 27-year-old Laura Leeann Gregory of Brownwood for failure to identify fugitive intentionally give false information and on warrants related to failure to appear/bond forfeiture/theft from elderly/enhanced, and on surety withdrawals for theft enhanced and theft greater than $50 less than $500.

*Early Police arrested 17-year-old Trey Scott Hernandez of Early on a warrant related to purchase furnish alcohol to a minor.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Joshua David Wayne McDaniel of Brownwood on a warrant for failure to appear/driving while intoxicated.

*Brownwood Police arrested 35-year-old Christopher Lee Salazar of Brownwood on warrants related to driving while license invalid and violate promise to appear.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 41-year-old Cheryl Lynn Spiers of Brownwood on a Kerr County warrant related to theft of property.

Saturday, May 21

*1:04 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 800 block of 1st Street.  During the stop, the driver, 54-year-old Teresa Hamer of Mineral Wells, Texas, was found to be intoxicated.  Hamer was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

*2:10 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Sierra Drive regarding criminal mischief.

*7:49 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Phillips Drive regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, sometime during the night, someone had damaged the left side windows of the complainant’s work vehicle.

*9:06 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 4000 block of 4th Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, sometime during the night, the driver’s side window of the complainant’s vehicle had been damaged.

*5:27 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3700 block of Savoy Drive regarding an assault.

*5:30 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 4000 block of 8th Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, two bats, along with other sports equipment and two pairs of Oakley sunglasses, valued at approximately $800, were stolen from the vehicle.

*7:36 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy performed a suspicious vehicle check on pickup which was parked in a driveway at a residence south of Blanket.  According to the report, the deputy spoke with the driver and his passenger, identified as Jeremy Michael McConnell, during a consent contact.  As a result of this contact, 22-year-old McConnell was subsequently arrested for possession of controlled substance less than 1 gram for items in his pocket, which contained methamphetamine residue.

*8:09 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding a weapons offense.  According to the report, a waitress of a local restaurant discovered marijuana under a table cloth on one of the tables.  A suspect was identified as 25-year-old Michael Wayne Dobson of Lake Jackson, Texas and he was located at a nearby park and admitted to have hid the marijuana under the table cloth, according to the report.  Dobson was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*8:09 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding a subject with a gun threatening to kill someone.  According to the report, 29-year-old Bobby Deshields of Brownwood was found to be intoxicated in public and was arrested for the offense.

*9:33 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Hawkins Street.  According to the report, as a result of this stop, Enrique Salazar, also known as 55-year-old Henry Salazar of Brownwood, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Rachel Lynn Bloom of Porter, Texas for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brownwood Police arrested 49-year-old Donald Ray Lieberman for public intoxication.

Sunday, May 22

*9:25 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 4th Street regarding the theft of two bicycles from the front porch of the residence.  According to the report, an investigation is ongoing.

*11:29 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1200 block of W. US Hwy 67 for speeding.  According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of 20-year-old Nikki Lanor Delacruz of Brownwood for possession of a dangerous drug.

*12:08 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 800 block of W. Commerce.  According to the report, this stop led to the discovery that the driver, identified as 26-year-old Samantha Nicole Robledo of Brownwood, was operating a motor vehicle without an eligible license and without insurance.  Robledo was arrested and charged with driving while license invalid with previous conviction, the report states.  It was later found that Robledo was also in possession of drug paraphernalia, for which she was additionally charged.

*12:42 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy contacted a suspect after an illegal dumping in progress was reported.   The suspect admitted to dumping beer cans on the side of the road outside of Brownwood and received a citation for illegal dumping, a class c misdemeanor.

*1:04 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Durham Avenue regarding an animal bite.  According to the report, a juvenile had been bitten by a neighbor’s dog which was running loose.  As a result of this call, the owner of the dog was issued a citation for animal at large.

*3:15 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of theft via telephone call.  According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime during the previous evening, someone had taken a window air conditioning unit from her residence.

*4:45 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, a possible suspect was named.  Household goods and clothing were stolen from the business.

*4:45 PM – Brownwood Police followed-up on a theft which occurred at a business in the 400 block of W. Commerce on May 20th.

*5:58 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Crockett Drive after receiving a call from a male subject who stated he was running and being chased by someone who was trying to kill him.  The male, identified as 37-year-old John Michael Stephens of Glen Rose, Texas, stated he was in town filming a YouTube video and people were chasing him, shining laser lights at him the night before and that they would not leave him alone, according to the report.  The responding officer worked the night prior and knew there was no such activity involving lasers the night before, the report states.  Stephens admitted to having smoked marijuana, taking some cocaine and drinking beer the night before and stated that he felt dehydrated, according to the officer’s report.  Stephens was taken to the emergency room where he was treated and released after being medically cleared, the report states.  Stephens continued to act erratically and was reported by the ER staff to be outside of the ER pretending to throw money in the air and that he had laid down in a fire ant bed, according to the report.  Stephens was subsequently taken into custody for public intoxication.

*6:55 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Vincent Street regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, medication was stolen from the residence.

*8:11 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence in Brownwood regarding the theft of property.  According to the report, the complainant stated thata Murray weed eater and a machete were taken from outside the residence and two possible suspects were identified.

*10:46 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Monterrey Street regarding disorderly conduct.  According to the report, a male subject, identified as 24-year-old Bryan Dee Penn II of Brownwood, was reported to be standing in the street yelling for his girlfriend to come out and talk to him.   Penn was found to be sitting on the curb in front the residence and wanted his girlfriend to give him the keys to her vehicle, the report states.  The owners of the residence did not want him at the property and he was told by police that he was not getting the keys, would not be allowed to talk to his girlfriend and that he was not welcome on the property and needed to leave, the report states.  Penn refused to leave and was arrested for disorderly conduct, according to the report.

*Early Police arrested 35-year-old Joe Cheyne of Snyder, Texas for assault causes bodily injury family violence – strangulation.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Sean Dority of Brownwood for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 23-year-old Angela Rebecca Resendez of Brownwood on a Parker County warrant related to theft of property greater than $50 less than $500.

*Texas Parks and Wildlife Department game warden arrested 30-year-old William Quentin Shafer of Gail, Texas for boating while intoxicated.

Monday, May 23

*Brownwood Police arrested 62-year-old Julian Valdez of Brownwood for public intoxication.
