*6:45 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Belle Plain regarding an alarm.  Upon arrival, the responding officer found the front door of the business to have been broken in an attempted burglary of the building, the report states.

*10:14 AM – Brownwood Police received a report of tampering with a witness.  According to the report, the investigation is ongoing.

*1:02 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Santa Clara Drive regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she and a friend had been arguing over a phone bill and the friend later showed up at her home and assaulted her.

*8:13 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Vine Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, dispatch advised officers that the caller had been visiting friends at this location when a male subject pulled his girlfriend inside of the residence by the hair on her head.  Upon officers’ arrival, several subjects were observed standing in the driveway, including a female who was distraught and crying, the report states.  A male subject, later identified as Jeffery Lynn, was seen looking out a window at the subjects, according to the report.  The subject stated that he had grabbed his common law wife by the arms and forced her into the residence; however, the victim stated that after being forced into the home, he also strangled her to the point where her airway was restricted, the report states.  Lynn was arrested and charged with assault family violence by strangulation.

*8:54 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Almond Street regarding a citizens’ dispute.  According to the report, the suspect was not on scene when officers arrived; however, a suspect description was given to responding officers and the suspect’s name “Dre” was given.  One of the officers recognized the nickname of the suspect as belonging to a subject named Andre Hurst, who he had dealings with from prior calls, the report states.  He then drove to the 500 block of Cordell where he knew the subject to often be located.  Hurst was found walking in the street and began walking toward the officers, stating that he was going to get a gun to shoot someone, the report states.  Hurst was ordered to stop walking and get on the ground; however, he continued walking toward the officers, according to the report.  Hurst continued and one officer went “hands on” with Hurst who continued to resist and was eventually tased by another officer.  48-year-old Hurst was arrested and charged with resisting arrest/detention and resisting arrest search or transport.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Cynthia Renee Acosta of Abilene on a warrants related to failure to appear/interfere with child custody and bail jumping/failure to appear.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 46-year-old James Akana of Lampasas on a warrant related to theft of property greater than $20 less than $500 by check enhanced.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 50-year-old Ruby Irene Daugherty of Rogers on a warrant related to a parole violation.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 17-year-old Dustin Jered Evans on a warrant for motion to adjudicate related to possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 52-year-old Patricia Elayne Luttrell on a warrant related to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

*28-year-old Jason Michael Morgan turned himself in on two warrants related to assault causes bodily injury family violence and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

*Brownwood Police arrested Terry Lee Reed, Jr. on a warrant related to theft over $50 less than $500.
