Tuesday, May 19
*8:10 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 800 block of Rogan Street, the Brownwood Intermediate School, regarding an assault. According to the report, police assistance was required with a student that had been attempting to assault an administrative employee. An investigation led to the issuance of a citation to the juvenile, the report states.
Wednesday, May 20
*4:51 PM –Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Main Street regarding a burglary of a habitation and an assault. According to the report, a laptop computer was stolen during the incident.
Thursday, May 21
*8:29 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of 1st Street regarding the burglary of a motor vehicle. According to the report, a package of cigarettes, a coozie, and coupons for fast food were stolen from the vehicle.
*12:29 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 64-year-old Vickie Hallmark of Early for theft over $50 less than $500.*1:31 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Magnolia regarding the theft of a dog. According to the report, the dog, a 4-year-old poodle, was recovered and returned to the owner. Criminal charges are being pursued by the owner, the report states.
*3:00 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft. According to the report, the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Mallorie Brooke Pope Basio of Brownwood was arrested for theft, criminal trespass, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
*3:56 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1600 block of Phillips Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the incident was documented and a report was forwarded to the criminal investigations division (CID) for further investigation.
*10:21 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Carriage Lane regarding a burglary with intent to assault. According to the report, a female complainant stated that an unknown male came into her residence without her permission while she was in bed. When she spoke to the male, he later fled the scene. The incident was documented.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Cory Chase McCorkle of Brownwood for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.
Friday, May 22
*1:24 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of Victoria Street regarding an assault which had occurred earlier in the day between a married couple.
*12:02 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Belle Plain. According to the report, the driver of the vehicle, identified as 48-year-old Lori Anne MacDougall of Brownwood was found to be intoxicated. MacDougall was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated 2nd.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Jeremy David Drake of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Meghan Turner Gray of Brownwood on warrants related to possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear/possession of drug paraphernalia.
