LECSmAccording to Brown County Sheriff’s Office, a traffic stop for speeding resulted in the result of three people on multiple drug charges.

A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on Hwy 67, near the Coleman County line, on a vehicle for speeding.  The deputy reported that he smelled burnt marijuana when he approached the vehicle for contact.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 27-year-old Chais Robertson of Bastrop along with passengers 19-year-old Jessica Diane Ross of Bastrop and 22-year-old Alesha Hoskins of Rockdale.

The officer performed a probable cause search of the vehicle and found a black magnetic key box under the driver’s seat containing a total of 9.9 grams of methamphetamine in three different packages and small baggies of methamphetamine were also found in Robertson’s luggage, the report states.  A small roach along with a small contraption to smoke narcotics were found in the front passenger floorboard of the vehicle and a broken clear pipe with white residue was located in Ross’s purse, according to the deputy’s report.  A small clear box containing 4.4 grams of methamphetamine was located in a small cubby hole in the dash of the vehicle.  Ross claimed the box but not the methamphetamine, the report stated.  Nine unused syringes were located in Hoskins’ purse along with a blunt weighing 0.6 grams with paper and a small plastic cap containing methamphetamine was located in the floorboard of the back passenger behind the driver where Hoskins was sitting, according to the report.

All three subjects were placed under arrest on Monday.  Robertson was charged with manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams; Hoskins was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces; and Ross was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams, according to the Brown County Jail log.  All three are being held in the Brown County Jail as of Tuesday in lieu of the following bond amounts:  Robertson  $100,000; Ross $25,000; and Hoskins $26,500.

Monday, May 20

*5:40 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding an alleged sexual assault.  According to the report, the complainant reported that her 14-year-old daughter had sex with a male subject for drugs at Coggin Park between the hours of noon and 9:00 PM.  The complainant wishes to pursue criminal charges against the male subject, the report states.

*8:30 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of 1st Street regarding the theft an iPhone 3GS.

*10:47 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of 9th Street regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she and her boyfriend had been arguing all day and that he had allegedly physically abused her three hours prior to her calling police.  While speaking with the suspect, he began to use profane language loudly in a public place and was arrested for disorderly conduct, the report states.

*Brownwood Police arrested 26-year-old Thomas Cameron Johnson for burglary of a habitation intend assault.

*56-year-old Gary dale Mitchell turned himself in on a warrant related to driving while intoxicated/30 day commit.

*Texas Juvenile Justice Department arrested 17-year-old Earlnesha Lynn Newell for assault on a public servant.
