Law enforcement arrests and reports released May 18, 2012.

*12:46am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Stewart Street, Camp Bowie Mobile Home Park #2, regarding a follow up on a burglary of a habitation. According to the report, during the investigation, a small amount of illegal narcotics and paraphernalia was observed in plain view. The items were collected and turned into the Brownwood Police Department’s evidence lockers.
*11:50am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3800 block of US 377S, Mid-Tex Federal Credit Union, regarding forgery. According to the report, a suspect had been named; however no arrests have been made at the time of the report.
*4:23pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of Austin Avenue regarding drugs/narcotics. According to the report, the complainant stated that while walking in the park, she could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the playground. According to police reports, this call led to the arrest of 20-year-old Christopher Brown for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Grade 2A less than 2 oz.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched regarding found mail on the complainant’s property. According to the report, someone had dumped a pile of postal mail about 4 yards into his property near a building. The mail belonged to several addresses, the report states. While talking to the complainant, he also reported that he suspected some kids had entered into a camper on his property without his consent and ransacked it, trashing it by digging through all of his belongings and dumping the liquid contents of the refrigerator all over chairs, the floor and the bed, the report states. The owner advised the suspects caused approximately $2500 of damage to the camper.
*7:50pm-Brownwood Police received a telephoned report of theft, fraudulent use of identifying information and possible forgery. According to the report, the victim stated that the theft occurred in Illinois, that his niece was a suspect, and that his social security card and several checks had been stolen. The complainant feared that his niece was going to return to Texas and use his information, the report states.
*8:30pm-Brown County Sheriff’s Department received a report of theft from a complainant who stated that a ring, $1900 cash and an iPhone were stolen which belonged to his deceased wife. According to the report, the complainant’s wife had died in a hospital out of town and that before she died, she made arrangements for the suspect to bring the items to a friend who in turn would get them to the complainant’s husband. The ring is valued at approximately $10,000, the report states.
*9:54pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of N. Fisk Avenue regarding a suspicious male at a business. According to the report, the male was asking sensitive questions regarding the security camera equipment, closing procedures and money kept on the premises. Employees were nervous about the situation and requested a trespass warning be issued to the subject.
All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
