Wednesday, May 15
*8:03 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Calvert Drive regarding two students fighting. According to the report, an investigation determined that an offense of disorderly conduct-fighting had been committed and both juveniles were issued citations. The investigation also found that an assault had occurred on May 14th and criminal prosecution was requested by the mother of the victim, the report states.
*11:15 AM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding an assault. According to the report, the complainant’s ex-boyfriend had assaulted her earlier in the day.
*3:34 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of 12th Street regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, the complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend entered her residence through an unlocked back door and then left through the front door. The complainant stated that he has also been calling and texting her several times even though she has advised him not to contact her, the report states.
*5:35 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a north Brownwood residence regarding an assault. According to the report, a juvenile victim stated that she was assaulted while at school and was being bullied by another student. The child had obvious injuries to her face, the report states. An investigation to identify the juvenile suspect, who is known by first name only, is continuing, according to the report.
Thursday, May 16
*7:29 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Cordell regarding theft of a vehicle.
*9:47 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2500 block of Temple Avenue regarding injury to an elderly person. According to the report, the complainant stated that her daughter attempted to kill her. The incident is under investigation, the report states.
*1:08 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart, 401 W. Commerce, regarding trespassing. According to the report, 37-year-old Jennifer Rogers was located inside the garden center of the store. Dispatch confirmed that Rogers had criminal trespass warning for the Wal-Mart premises, the report states. Rogers was arrested and charged with criminal trespass.
*7:56 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on 5th Street in Blanket regarding animal cruelty. According to the report, the complainant stated that her neighbor had been neglecting her dog and the complainant took it to the veterinarian who stated it appeared emaciated. The dog was returned to its owner on May 2nd and when it showed up at the complainant’s residence on May 16th, it appeared in worse shape than when she returned it to its owner on May 2nd.
*10:02 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding a man and woman who were staggering on the sidewalk. This call led to the arrest 44-year-old Chad Beasley for public intoxication with 3 prior convictions.
*11:52 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an alleged kidnapping from a residence on FM 2125. According to the report, the complainant received a text message from her daughter that the estranged father of her child had arrived at her residence despite of having a protective order prohibiting him from contacting her. The complainant called her daughter and stated that during the call, the male and her daughter argued on the porch, and she could hear the male being told to leave or the police would be called. When the complainant arrived home, the two were not at the residence, the report states. When the officer arrived, the complainant received a call from her daughter telling her that the male had forced her to get into the truck and that they were getting gas in Brownwood, the report states.
*Brownwood Police arrested 48-year-old Daniel Freeman of Fort Worth for violation of sex offender’s duty to register life.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Demetrius Wayne Hardy of Irving on a Balch Springs warrant related to a parole violation.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Angel Sanchez Huereca of Pleasanton.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year-old Antonio Eduardo Lopez on a warrant related to delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, 4 years Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
Friday, May 17
*12:25 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Avenue E regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 29-year-old Quan James Hawthorne for assault with injury family violence with previous convictions.
*Brownwood Police arrested 41-year-old Tara A. Williams of Giddings, TX on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500 by check.
