Wednesday, May 11

*11:51 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Avenue E regarding terroristic threat.  According to the report, a husband and wife had been involved in a verbal argument and the husband had allegedly threatened his wife.

Thursday, May 12

*1:59 AM – Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop in the 400 block of Sycamore Street.  According to the report, during the stop, the male was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.  The male, identified as Tony Jones, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.

Friday, May 13

*8:11 AM – Brownwood Police were called to a north Brownwood business regarding the theft of property.  According to the report, the owner of the business stated that he had located video surveillance of one of his employees stealing money from his deposit bag and stealing items from a customer’s vehicle.  The complainant wished to pursue criminal charges, the report states.

*3:08 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3800 block of Crestridge Drive regarding a citizens’ dispute.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 35-year-old Amanda Ann Watson on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500 by check.

*3:50 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Coggin Avenue regarding harassment.

*4:20 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Avenue D regarding the theft of a chainsaw.

*5:18 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding a hit and run accident.

*5:41 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property in Early, TX in regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated someone had entered his vehicle without his consent and broke out the driver side window.

*6:50 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Campa Drive regarding an assault.  According to the report, an incident of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was investigated.

*25-year-old Jason Allen Bigham of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to theft of property.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 34-year-old Michael Shawn Clay of Bangs on warrants related to speeding 45 mph in 35 mph zone and failure to appear/speeding.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Lucas Ethan Lanier of Cross Plains for interfere with public duties, resist arrest or detention and assault public servant.  Lanier was released on bonds totaling $25,000.

*Brownwood Police arrested 43-year-old John James Lykes of Early on a warrant related to theft off property equal or greater than $150,000 less than $300,000.  Lykes was later released on $15,000 bond.

*Brownwood Police arrested 37-year-old Jamie Daniels Martinez of Brownwood on a Guadalupe County warrant related to failure to appear/theft of property less than $20 by check.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Richard James Ramos of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams, tamper/fabricate physical evidence, unlawful possession of firearm by felon and on a parole violation.  Ramos was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $150,000.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Ashley Lillian Sharpe of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Charles Austin Shaw of Brownwood for evading arrest.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Alisha Manette Smith of Abilene for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams and manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 2 or 2A less than 1 gram.

Saturday, May 14

*2:46 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of Slayden Street regarding the burglary of a habitation which was in progress.  According to the report, while the officer was en route, dispatch advised that complainant stated two people had broken the door and window at his residence.  A suspect vehicle was identified and stopped which resulted in the arrest of the driver, identified as 20-year-old Juan Jose Castillo, Jr. of Brownwood, for driving while intoxicated.

*2:48 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Avenue I regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, an incident of burglary with intent to commit assault was documented.

*3:46 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Elizabeth Drive regarding a hit and run accident.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*5:51 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft of property.  According to the report, $56.24 in cash was taken from the business.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s and three Brown County Jail inmate workers assisted with the Zephyr Community Cleanup in Zephyr, Texas.  Approximately 2.75 tons of refuse and rubbish with 39 scrap tires were collected according to the report.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a complainant regarding the theft of a firearm.  According to the report, sometime between May 2nd and May 13, 2016, someone had stolen a 9mm Sar Arms pistol out of his pickup. The complainant stated that he had driven the vehicle all over town throughout that time and had no idea when the firearm was taken and that there were no suspects named at the time of the report.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year-old Jennifer Rena Crow of Brownwood for burglary of a habitation and burglary of a building.  Crow was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $60,000 as of Monday morning.

*Early Police arrested 37-year-old Justin Travis Eoff of Early for terroristic threat of family.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Dustin Lance Galloway of Brownwood for burglary of a building and burglary of a habitation.  Galloway was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $60,000 as of Monday morning.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 46-year-old Frances Elaine Liles of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to maintain financial responsibility.

*Brownwood Police arrested 49-year-old Michael Allen Marx of Brownwood on a warrant.

Sunday, May 15

*2:16 PM – Brownwood Police received a report by phone of theft of property.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her barbeque pit had been stolen and then listed on Facebook for sale.  During an investigation, the suspect was located and the pit was released back to its proper owner.  The complainant wished to pursue criminal charges against the suspect for the theft, the report states.

*4:36 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4200 block of US Hwy 377 South regarding the burglary of a vehicle.

*5:30 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft of property.  According to the report, electronic equipment was stolen from the business.

*5:35 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3300 block of 2nd Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.

*A Texas Parks and Wildlife Department game warden arrested 34-year-old Corey Dale Miles of Goldthwaite for driving while intoxicated.

Monday, May 16

*2:17 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3700 block of Savoy Drive regarding disorderly conduct.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 36-year-old Jeremy Wayne Crabtree of Brownwood for public intoxication and evading detention.
