Sunday, May 13
*11:44am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Elizabeth regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, the complainant’s ex-husband Donald Pressley had violated a protective order and a criminal case has been filed.
Monday, May 14
*8:07am-A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was contacted regarding illegal dumping on the roadway in the area of Staley’s Cemetery. According to the report, household trash had been thrown out into the bar ditch and onto the roadway.
Tuesday, May 15
*7:19am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Walnut Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, cigarettes as well as a purse containing several items were taken from an unlocked vehicle.
*11:32am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1900 block of Avenue B regarding a theft of a window air conditioning unit which was stolen from the residence.
*1:44pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Main Blvd. regarding terroristic threat. According to the report, the victim stated that a male subject, identified as 29-year-old Jerry Allen Leonard threatened to burn his house down and shoot him. Leonard was detained by police a short distance from the scene and a statement was received by an independent witness regarding the incident, the report states. Leonard was subsequently arrested for Terroristic Threat.
*2:10pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Waco Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, a window of a vehicle was found to be broken and evidence was located at the scene.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s Office investigator arrested 17-year-old Jeffery Wayne Allen after a pedestrian stop. According to the report, the officer was driving down an alley in the area of Sunset Terrace when he saw Allen standing with a paper bag and a camera. When Allen saw the officer, he began to walk away which the investigator found suspicious, the report states. During a consensual conversation, the officer asked what Allen was doing and he stated that he was waiting for his cousin, the report states. After asking if he had anything illegal on him and Allen said yes, he then surrendered a quantity of methamphetamine. Allen was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 greater than 1 gram and less than 4 grams and an outstanding warrant. *Bangs Police arrested 19-year-old Michael Englehardt for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
*Brownwood Police Department arrested 19-year-old Aaron Rainer of Austin for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces and Possession Delivery of Drug Paraphernalia.
Wednesday, May 16
*Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 200 block of E. Commerce. According to the report, the driver, identified as 51-year-old Felipe Prado, was determined to be intoxicated. Prado was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and submitted to a blood test.
All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
