Law enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, May 16, 2011.
Tuesday, May 10
*2:14pm- Brownwood Police met with a complainant at BPD regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, the complainant reported that unknown suspects broke into 2208 Austin Avenue, Varsity Cleaners, and stole several items.
*2:31pm – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Indian Creek, to a local nursing home, in reference to theft. According to the report, the assistant director of nursing advised officers that a Fentanyl patch was missing. A list of subjects who had access to the medication cart was given to the officer the report states. The investigation is still pending.
Friday, May 13
*1:59pm- Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Elizabeth Drive regarding a report of a burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant arrived home to find the glass broken out of the back door to his home. Investigation led to the belief that the suspect(s) did not enter the home but left for an unknown reason while attempting to break through the back door. The door’s glass and frame were broken during the incident the report states.
*6:20pm – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4400 block of Mimosa regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that her neighbor’s children are constantly stealing items from the yard or going into her residence without permission. A few items were returned to the complainant and the father of the children was made aware of the situation the report states.
*10:27pm – Brownwood Police responded to the 1600 block of Avenue C regarding a report of harassment. According to the report, after investigation, 43-year-old Rudolpho Reyna was determined to be intoxicated. Reyna was arrested for Public Intoxication.
Saturday, May 14
*12:50am – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of Main Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, a male and female were having a verbal argument. The woman, identified as 26-year-old Jessica Renee Scott admitted she slapped the male and scratched him on the back the report states. Scott was arrested for Assault with Injury Family Violence.
*7:41am – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Waco Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant reported that the rear window of his vehicle had been broken out; however he did not think anything had been stolen from the vehicle. If a suspect can be found, he wished to pursue charges the report states.
*8:50am – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Brady Avenue in regard to a hit and run accident that happened overnight. Damaged was a black plastic dumpster valued at approximately $300 the report states.
*6:09pm –Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Fisk Avenue regarding harassment. According to the report, the 56-year-old complainant stated that she believed she was being stalked after she received a phone call from an unknown number.
*10:22pm – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of E. Commerce, a local hotel, to a runaway juvenile. According to the report, the complainant, a relative of the juvenile, received information that the runaway was at the hotel with a 16-year-old male subject who worked the front desk. The officer made contact and advised the male of consequences of harboring a runaway juvenile. He admitted she was with him and brought her from a room behind the counter the report states. She was then removed from the database as a runaway.
*Early Police arrested 38-year-old Casey Lynn Hardy for Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport.
Sunday, May 15
*12:00pm – Brownwood Police were dispatched to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding a theft that had occurred. The call led to the arrest of 24-year-old Amanda Renee Reyna for theft greater than $50, less than $500. Stolen/recovered items included several personal hygiene items valued at a total of $66.09.
*1:44pm- Brownwood Police met with a complainant at BPD regarding harassment. According to the report, the complainant stated that his step daughter had sent numerous text messages to his cell phone in the past 24 hours.
*4:25pm – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Center Avenue regarding a burglary/theft of a firearm. According to the report, the complainant advised that his 12 guage shotgun was stolen from his apartment sometime between May 11th and May 15th. The firearm was listed in the database as stolen.
*8:31pm – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Clements, to a local restaurant regarding harassment. According to the report, the complainant (an employee) stated that she was receiving vulgar sexual harassing phone calls from an unknown caller while she was at work.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Craig William Newman for Driving While Intoxicated.
*Brownwood Police arrested 47-year-old Tommy Dale Sartain of Bangs for Driving While Intoxicated.
Monday, May 16
*12:26am – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Southside regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant advised the officer of a known subject who had assaulted him. Upon further investigation, 39-year-old Christina Mary Duffy was arrested for assault family violence and the other subject was listed as a suspect to the incident.
*Early Police arrested 34-year-old Brandon Hooper of Austin for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 less than 1g.
*Early Police arrested 27-year-old Steven M. Patton of San Saba for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 less than 1g.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
