Saturday, May 9
*3:05 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of Baker Street and C.C. Woodson regarding a reckless driver who was being followed by the complainant. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and document the incident.
Wednesday, May 13
*10:45 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3800 block of S. US Highway 377 regarding theft.
*1:03 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of 1st Street regarding the theft of a motor vehicle.
*2:58 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that a storage building in the 900 block of W. Baker had been broken into and household items and furniture were stolen during the incident.
Thursday, May 14
*8:21 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the Aldersgate Enrichment Center on US 183 South in Early regarding a drug compliant. According to the report, an investigation was completed which resulted in the arrest of 53-year-old Jimmy Ray Head of Early for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and 37-year-old Matthew James Trevino of Early for possession or delivery of drug paraphernalia.*9:02 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of Vine Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a firearm was stolen out of the vehicle while it was parked at a residence. The firearm was entered as stolen and an investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*10:11 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, the suspect, identified as 20-year-old Mary Elizabeth Hanson of Brownwood, had stolen more than $50 of merchandise from Walmart. Hanson was arrested for theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500 and for the offense of fraudulent destruction/removal/concealment of writing.
*3:38 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Dublin Drive regarding theft.
*10:25 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 2800 block of Southside Drive. This stop led to the arrest of 23-year-old Larry James Bryant, Jr. of Brownwood for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of found property. According to the report, a weed eater had been found next to the pumps at the old Sue’s Country Store.
*Bangs Police arrested 69-year-old Leetis Wayne Dalton of Bangs for assault causes bodily injury.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested John Robert Quick of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to revoke/delivery of a controlled substance drug free zone.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 26-year-old Malcolm Jamal Walls of Brownwood on a warrant related to possession of marijuana greater than 4 ounces less than or equal to 5 pounds in a drug free zone. Walls was later released on a $10,000 bond.
Friday, May 15
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 25-year-old Mecora Marie Smith of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated 2nd.
