Thursday, May 10

*6:43am-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 200 block of W. Anderson.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 44-year-old Cynthia Donelson of Brady, was determined to be driving with an invalid license and had a prior conviction.  Donelson was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Conviction.

*7:27am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Hall Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her purse and several other items were stolen from her vehicle.  No arrests were made at the time of the report.  The incident is pending further investigation, the report states.

*8:22am-A Brown County deputy was called to a residence in Early regarding a theft in progress.  According to the report, the owner of the property stated that a neighbor had notified him that someone was on the property stealing items.  The owner previously reported the theft of scrap metal from an old burned out home on the property from which he had planned to salvage.  The deputy arrived and found a subject, identified as 36-year-old Norman Lee Hartzell, Jr. attempting to load a small tractor motor into the back of a pickup, the report states.

Hartzell stated that he received permission after his wife spoke with a neighbor.  According to the report, the neighbor was contacted and stated he had given Hartzell’s wife directions on how to find the owner’s wife to ask permission. The owner’s wife was contacted and stated that no one gave Hartzell permission to remove any property from that location, the report states.  Hartzell cooperated with the remaining investigation and told the deputy that the rest of the scrap he had removed was at his home in Blanket, according to the report.  At the conclusion of the investigation, Hartzell was arrested and charged with Theft $50-$500.

*8:25am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Avenue E regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that two window unit air conditioners were taken from the residence.  Two suspects have been identified, the report states.

*9:34am-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding the theft of three rings.  According to the report, a suspect has been identified.

*11:02am-Brownwood  Police were called to the 4200 block of US Hwy 377S, a used car dealership, regarding found property.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he found drug paraphernalia in a vehicle he had repossessed.

*12:39pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Alpine Court regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that overnight her vehicle was broken into and her purse along with numerous other items were now missing.

*2:38pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of Milton, EZ Mart, regarding found property.   According to the report, the store clerk stated that a customer had left his credit card at the store after paying for gas.  Attempts were made but unsuccessful to return the card to the owner, the report states.

*5:04pm-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence regarding the theft of electric motors and chain link fencing.  According to the report, the complainant stated that 12 electric motors and approximately 75 feet of fencing were stolen from the property, its value estimated at $4150.  A suspect has been named; however, no arrest has been made.

*6:28pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Borden Street regarding forgery.  According to the report, the complainant stated that about three months ago, she gave her sister-in-law permission to sell her boat in order to pay for a medical procedure.  The complainant stated that the procedure was cancelled and the title of the boat had been forged.

*7:21pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Cordell Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that after her son broke up with his girlfriend, she allegedly “keyed” half of his car and flattened two tires.  The complainant also stated that the female also destroyed her son’s clothing by allegedly pouring bleach all over them and has not returned items of clothing belonging to her grandchildren, the report states.

*8:25pm-Brownwood Police conducted a pedestrian stop in the 1600 block of 4th Street.  As a result of the stop, 35-year-old Bradley  Aaron Rich was arrested for Public Intoxication, the report states.

Friday, May 11

*2:27am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of N. Main Blvd. regarding a civil matter.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her brother had moved out of her residence and had taken her 2002 Chevy Trailblazer.  The vehicle was located in Comanche County and resulted in the arrest of Johnny Lee Williamson and Earnest Casteel for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 60-year-old Mark Alan Hawkins was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 less than 1 gram.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
