Law enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, May 10, 2012.

Tuesday, May 8

*11:22pm-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a residence in May regarding an assault.  According to the report, a female was assaulted by a male, identified as 44-year-old Edward Laroy Simpson of May, after an argument between Simpson and the victim.  The female stated that during the argument the male threw a glass at her, poked her in the chest with his finger several times, and then pushed her into a wall where her head hit a door facing causing her to black out for several minutes, the report states.   Based on the physical evidence and statements by the victim, Simpson was arrested and charged with Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.

*11:36pm-Brownwood Police responded to the report of disorderly conduct at a residence in the 2200 block of Avenue C.  According to the report, three victims were identified who stated that a female neighbor had stood outside in her front yard cursing at them.

Wednesday, May 9

*8:10am-A Brownwood Police officer while on patrol in the 1200 block of Main Street observed a white Ford pickup traveling at what appeared to be well over the posted speed limit of 35mph.  According to the report, the officer’s radar confirmed the vehicle to be traveling 58mph in the 35mph zone and a traffic stop was made in the 900 block of Clark Street.   This call led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 22-year-old James Lee Kinsey of Early, for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.

*9:11am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding identity theft.  According to the report, someone had allegedly used the victim’s name and information to establish electricity at an address in Brownwood.

*10:38am-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the incident occurred in the 700 block of Carnegie Street sometime between the hours of 4:00-5:00pm on Tuesday, May 8th.

*10:50am-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Chandler regarding an assault.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 54-year-old Gerald Rutherford Holloway, Jr. for Assault with Injury by Strangulation.

*7:09pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart, 400 W. Commerce regarding two shoplifters who were detained.  According to the report, the shoplifters were identified as 21-year-old Amelia Mercedez Aranda and 52-year-old Rosa Irene Aranda, both of Cisco.  The two were found to have stolen multiple items from the store, the report states.  Both Amelia and Rosa Aranda were charged with Theft of Property between $50-500.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 37-year-old Jerry Gordon Burch for Possession of Marijuana Less than 2 ounces, Driving While License Invalid and on 5 outstanding warrants.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42-year-old Dusty Marie Sellers Luttrell for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver Penalty Grade 1 equal to or more than 4 grams less than 200 grams and Evading Arrest with Vehicle.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 51-year-old Patricia Elayne Luttrell for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver Penalty Grade 1 equal to or more than 4 grams less than 200 grams and Tamper with Physical Evidence.

* Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 46-year-old Christopher Dewayne Spees of Breckenridge for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 less than 1 gram and Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
