Law enforcement arrests and reports released Monday and Tuesday, May 9 & 10, 2011.

Monday, May 2

*2:01pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Hwy 377 regarding a hit and run.  The suspect vehicle was located; however no charges were pursued the report states.

Thursday, May 5

*7:17pm-Brownwood Police were called to 210 E. Commerce, Chili’s, regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant reported that an unknown subject damaged her vehicle and also broke out the front passenger window.

Friday, May 6

*8:32am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Avenue G regarding theft.  The complainant stated that after several people had helped him move some items, he noticed that several things had been stolen from his residence the report states.  Suspect information was taken and an investigation is ongoing.

*9:22am-Brownwood Police were called to a domestic disturbance in the 1600 block of Melwood.  According to the report, the complainant advised she had been assaulted by her ex-husband, 27-year-old Israel Cintron Rivera.  After an investigation, Rivera was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence.

*9:49am-Brownwood Police met with a complainant who has been receiving text messages from a subject that the complainant has a protective order against.  According to the report, the subject lives out of town and was not contacted; however a report was filed to document the incident violating the protective order.

*4:55pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1900 block of Brady Avenue regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, a television was stolen from the residence.  Suspects were named and charges are being pursued, police report.

*7:22pm-Brownwood Police received a report of a bicycle theft from the back yard of a home in the 2400 block of 4th Street.  According to the report, the incident is believed to have occurred between the hours of 8:00-8:30pm.

*7:22pm-Brownwood Police received a report of theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his ex-girlfriend came up to him at Allsups, took his phone, broke it and then left with the phone.  The complainant wishes to pursue charges against the suspect the report states.

*8:03pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 3000 block of 1st Street regarding a theft.  According to the report, the investigation showed that the residence had been burglarized and a woman’s wallet was missing.  Suspects have been identified; however no arrest had been made at the time of the report.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Brady Ryan Perkins of Valera for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1, less than 1g and an outstanding Brown County Warrant.

Saturday, May 7

*8:09am-Brownwood Police received a report of burglary of a vehicle which was parked in the Brownwood High School Parking lot overnight.  According to the report, several items were taken from the vehicle and no suspects were known at the time of the report; however security cameras at the school have revealed the time of the burglary and suspect vehicle information.

*9:01am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of 11th Street where a burglary of a vehicle had occurred.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she had left her vehicle unlocked and several items had been stolen from its interior.  No suspect information was available.

*9:57am-Brownwood Police received a report of burglary of a motor vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had broken into her vehicle overnight and stole two diamond rings, a digital camera and several music CDs.

*9:22pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 1300 block of Avenue I regarding two female suspects who were yelling at each other and having a physical altercation outside the residence.  Neither subject wished to pursue charges the report states.

*9:40pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 2700 block of Elizabeth regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had slashed the tires of his pick-up overnight.

*11:55pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Avenue G regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, a male subject cut a vehicle’s tire.  The subject was identified and an incident report was filed.

* Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Antonio James Cruz for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1, equal or less than 1g in a Drug Free Zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Jose Guadalupe Ortiz of Rotan for Driving While License Invalid.

Sunday, May 8

*1:24am-Brownwood Police were called to 500 E. Commerce, Skillets, regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend had stolen items out of her vehicle and she wished to pursue charges.

*9:58am-Brownwood Police responded to a burglary in the 500 block of W. Commerce.  According to the report, a coin operated machine was vandalized and quarters were taken from inside the machine.  No suspects were known at this time; however, several fingerprints were obtained at the scene the report states.

*10:14am-Brownwood Police responded to the 600 block of 5th Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a known suspect stole $140 from her wallet.

 

*10:53am-Brownwood Police received a report of criminal mischief.  The complainant met an officer at BPD and stated that a suspect had burned several items belonging to the complainant and recorded the act on his cell phone.

*2:13pm-Brownwood Police received a report at BPD regarding found narcotics.  The complainant stated that they located a baggie of what appeared to be marijuana in a tree.   The baggie and its contents were taken to BPD and placed into evidence for destruction.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Jaime Contreras for Public Intoxication.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 63-year-old Michael Thompson McInnis of Hewitt, Texas for Driving While Intoxicated.

Monday, May 9

*3:45pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Bowie Circle regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, a GPS unit valued at approximately $250 was stolen.

*6:38pm-Brownwood Police responded to a burglary of a habitation in the 800 block of Sharp Street.  According to the complainant, unknown suspect(s) stole a DVD player and other items.

*7:52pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of 16th Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her wallet containing her driver’s license and two TexasBank debit/credit cards were taken from her locked vehicle while it was parked in the 1500 block of Davis Lane overnight.  Further investigation showed that the cards had been used without permission in various stores in the Brownwood and Stephenville areas the report states.  The total amount withdrawn from the account is approximately $516.00 according to police.  An investigation is ongoing.

*Brownwood Police were called to an early morning accident in the 2600 block of 1st Street.  Investigation of the crash revealed the driver, identified as 33-year-old Alfredo Jose Hernandez, was intoxicated the report states.

*Early Police arrested 27-year-old Cristoval Depazsac on a Border Patrol detainer.

Tuesday, May 10

*Brownwood Police responded to the burglary of a vehicle in the 2500 block of Hillsboro Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated while she was at work, at Wendy’s, an unknown subject entered her vehicle and stole her purse.  The complainant stated that she had all of her identification inside the purse according to police reports.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
