Monday, April 27

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of possible animal abuse.  According to the report, a complainant stated that a mule at a property near Sandy Beach is allegedly not being properly cared for, having overgrown hooves, causing the mule to have trouble walking.

Tuesday, April 28

*7:48 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of Avenue C regarding a possible case of child abuse.

Wednesday, April 29

*8:51 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the victim arrived home from being out of town only to discover her apartment had been completely cleaned out and items thrown in the trash.  The incident is under investigation, the report states.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the area of Hwy 183 and FM 2273 regarding a road hazard.  According to the report, a vehicle had lost a load of roofing material in the roadway.  The vehicle was located and found to be displaying an incorrect license plate, the report states.  The trailer was fresh with wet paint and had no identifying markings, its VIN numbers appeared to have been recently forcibly removed, according to the officer’s report.  The driver of the vehicle, identified as Josiah Andrew Huggins, claimed ownership of the trailer and was arrested for displaying wrong, fictitious, altered or obscured license plate and for tampering with identification numbers.

Thursday, April 30

*5:59 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Austin Avenue regarding a civil standby involving a child custody dispute.

*7:19 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Brady Avenue regarding a citizens’ dispute.    According to the report, there were multiple subjects fighting at the location when the incident was called in.  This call led to the arrest of two juveniles for disorderly conduct-fighting in public.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Andy Lee Andrade of Waxahachie on warrants for surety related to withdrawals for engaging in organized criminal activity and place weapons prohibited.

*32-year-old Albert Eugene Espinosa of Blanket was arrested for warrants related to motion to adjudicate/sexual assault of a child and failure to comply sexual offender registration.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 28-year-old Alton Wayne Gober II on warrants related to two counts of speeding, driving while license invalid, violate promise to appear, and failure to secure Texas driver’s license.
