Law enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, April 4, 2012.

Monday, April 2

*8:18am-Brownwood Police were called to the Brownwood Alternative High School regarding student who disrupted DAEP (Disciplinary Alternative Education Program).  According to the report, an investigation determined that a student had disrupted the class and was issued a citation for the disruption of the class.

*10:49am-Brownwood Police were called to the 800 block of W. Austin Avenue regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her pickup had been keyed at Wal-Mart over the weekend.

*3:08pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Austin Avenue, 7-11, regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a female acquaintance had taken his debit card while he was sleeping and went to the ATM and withdrew $160.00.  The complainant wished to pursue charges, the report states.

*5:19pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Avenue C regarding trespassing.  According to the report, officers learned during this call that a female was assaulted by her common law spouse approximately a week ago.

Tuesday, April 3

*8:49am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of Vine Street regarding terroristic threat.  According to the report, a named suspect has been threatening the complainant.

*10:42am-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 600 block of N. Center Avenue for speeding.  According to the report, the driver, 33-year-old Michael Philip Spratt, was found to be operating the vehicle with a suspended Texas driver’s license.  Further reports revealed that Spratt had numerous convictions for driving while license invalid and subsequently Spratt was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions, the report states.

*5:24pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of W. Commerce, Stripes Convenience Store, regarding theft.  According to the report, a male subject driving a white dump truck with green writing drove off without paying for $500 worth of fuel.

*6:39pm-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Brady Avenue.  According to the report, the driver, 22-year-old Steven Lee Benson, was found to have a suspended license and was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid/Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility/Surcharge Due-No Driver’s License.

*9:19pm-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Pasadena regarding the driver disregarding a traffic light.  According to the report, the driver, 22-year-old Patrick Todd Shannon was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Conviction.

*11:18pm-Brownwood Police were called to the area of Austin Avenue and Sherry Lane regarding found property.  According to the report, a 6-foot metal tool box was found in the roadway.  The toolbox and its contents were taken to the property room of the Brownwood Police Department for safe keeping until they can be claimed by their rightful owner.

*11:35pm-A Brownwood Police officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Avenue E for a defective license plate lamp.  According to the report, the driver, 47-year-old George Nino was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 17-year-old Jacob Cooper for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence.

*Early Police Department arrested 50-year-old Israel Antonio Giron for Public Intoxication.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
