Law enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, April 30, 2012.

Friday, April 27

*9:21am-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce in reference to hindering a secured creditor.   According to the report, a suspect was named; however, no arrests were made at the time of the report and the investigation is ongoing.

*9:41am-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Belmeade and Holcomb Street due to an expired motor vehicle inspection.  This stop led to the driver being issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a warning for the expired motor vehicle inspection.

*10:23am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 800 block of W. Commerce, Goodwill, regarding a vehicle that had been burglarized at an unknown location.  According to the report, the only item reported to be stolen from the vehicle was a driver’s license.  A suspect has been named; however, no arrest has been made at this time.

*12:45pm-A Brownwood Police officer initiated a traffic stop in the 500 block of W. Commerce which led to the arrest of 65-year-old Isaias Garza for Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of Dangerous Drugs.

*1:33pm-Brownwood Police spoke to reporting party at the Law Enforcement Center who stated that an unknown subject forged a check and passed it at his place of employment.

*6:09pm-Brownwood Police spoke to a complainant regarding credit card abuse.  According to the report, the complainant stated that $602 had been charged to his credit card account but has not been removed by the credit card company.  The complainant indicated that the charge occurred approximately one month ago; however was not able to provide full details of the incident at the time of the call and will be recontacted in order to continue the investigation.

*6:32pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Stewart Street regarding a burglary.  According to the report, the officer met with the homeowners, one of which stated she had been away from her home for approximately 3 hours and noticed that two of her gold and diamond rings had been stolen from the living room of the residence.

*9:42pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 3400 block of Golding Road regarding a citizen’s dispute.  According to the report, after investigation, 66-year-old Ralph Browning, Jr. was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct Discharge/Display of Firearm.

*Early Police arrested 26-year-old Dorinda Dolores Soliz for Driving While License Invalid.

Saturday, April 28

*3:06am-Brownwood Police responded to a disturbance call in the 1700 block of 4th Street.  According to the report, two officers responded to the call where a female, identified as 25-year-old Tabitha Jo Carrier, was found sitting on the curb.  The resident at the address did not want Carrier to remain on the property the report states.  The officer reported that Carrier stated she was afraid to go home due to an unrelated incident in which she had been assaulted.    Due to Carrier being intoxicated and afraid to return to her own home, her mother was called to come get her; however, Carrier began to get uncooperative and agitated before her mother’s arrival, the report states.  When her mother arrived, she began to get more agitated and began cursing loudly, using vulgar and profane language and at that point was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct/Abusive Profane Language, according to the report.

*12:02pm-Brownwood Police met with a man at the corner of Parkway and Cottage Street.   According to the report, the man turned over two red gasoline cans to the officer which he believed were stolen.

*5:52pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Davis Lane regarding the theft of a motor vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her vehicle had been towed away from her home by a yellow tow truck with the word “cash” on the side.  The complainant did wish to pursue criminal charges against the tow truck driver, the report states.

*7:02pm-Brownwood Police were called to the1500 block of Avenue I regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone broke the windshield to her vehicle early this morning at approximately 12:30am to 1:00am.

*6:51pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Pecos Street regarding a possible runaway.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her 16-year-old daughter had not returned since approximately 11:30am the day before.

*8:27pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 9th Street regarding a suspicious call.  According to the report, a suspect in the incident disobeyed lawful orders and attempted to go inside a house.  The suspect, 27-year-old Donald Gene Gilbert, was arrested for evading arrest or detention.  Further investigation found that no other criminal offense had occurred.

*11:22pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Vine Street regarding disorderly conduct.  According to the report, the complainant stated his sister-in-law’s ex-boyfriend has been coming to his home and trying to fight.  A criminal trespass warning was requested by the complainant, the report states.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 31-year-old Roberto Alcantar, Jr. of Austin for Driving While License Invalid.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 36-year-old for Violation of a Protective Order and two outstanding warrants.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tressie Reeder McGlasson for Assault Causing Bodily Injury.

Sunday, April 29

*12:50am-Brownwood Police responded to the 1600 block of Avenue I regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, officers spoke with the complainant.  After the investigation, a juvenile male subject was placed under arrest for Assault with Injury Family Violence.

*2:54am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Main Blvd regarding a noise nuisance.  According to the report, after being dispatched to the same address two times within thirty minutes for the same city ordinance violation, the officer issued the resident and vehicle owner a citation for noise nuisance.

*3:03am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of 6th Street regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, the owner of the victim vehicle was away from home for the weekend and would not return until later on April 29th.  The reporting party described the suspect vehicle as a dark colored passenger car, possibly a Chevrolet Camaro and said that it was last seen turning southbound on Coggin Avenue, the report states.  According to the report, the vehicle wasn’t believed to be from the area and the investigation is continuing.

*3:41am-Brownwood Police were called to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding a dog bite.  According to the report, the victim could not provide much information about the incident but it did appear she was bitten by a dog.

*12:37pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding Criminal Mischief.  According to the report, the back right tire of the complainant’s vehicle had been damaged.  The value of the tire was estimated at $150.

*5:22pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Avenue G regarding a civil issue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she and her ex had been arguing over beer and clothes that he claimed to have left at the apartment.  The complainant stated that her ex had broken out her apartment window during the argument.  This call led to the complainant pressing criminal charges against her ex for Criminal Mischief.

*7:40pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Main Blvd. regarding an animal complaint.  According to the report, the complainant believed that someone let her pit bull off of his chain and that he is now missing.

*8:21pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of N. Main Blvd. regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, no offense had been committed and the parties separated.

*11:00pm-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that 26 hydrocodone pills had been stolen from her bedroom while she was out.  She had been in and out of the home throughout the day and was unable to name any suspects that may have had access to the pills.

Monday, April 30

*1:20am-A Brown County Deputy made a traffic stop for failure to signal a turn.  According to the report, during the stop the deputy noticed the passenger shaking and acting very nervous.  While interviewing the passenger, later identified as 25-year-old Heather Caudill, it was revealed that there was “dope” in the car, the report states.  A search of the vehicle yielded a glass pipe with residue and a cigarette box with a clear baggie containing 0.3 grams of methamphetamine which belonged to Caudill, the report states.
