Tuesday, April 2
*8:24 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Coggin Avenue regarding theft at a local business.
*9:10 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Center Avenue regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, several items of value were taken from the property.
*9:27 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a property on 5th Street in Blanket regarding an animal bite. According to the report, the male pit bull was found to be current on all vaccinations and has been quarantined. The injuries to the female victim were fairly significant; however, no sutures were required, the report states.
*4:45 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3500 block of 2nd Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown person(s) had broken a west side window of the residence with a golf ball. A second golf ball hit a tree in the front yard (west side of the residence) and left a mark in the tree, the report states.
*9:41 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Temple Avenue regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that both she and her husband had medication stolen from the residence. After full investigation, a possible suspect was determined, the report states.
*11:02 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of Avenue G regarding domestic violence. According to the report, while in route, dispatch advised that the male suspect had left the scene and was walking toward Brookshire’s grocery store. The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Larry Darnell Johnson, was arrested and charged with assault family violence offensive touch, criminal mischief and served with a Brown County warrant related to terroristic threat, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft. According to the report, the complainant alleged that a tenant had stolen four lawn chairs, valued at $40, from a property the complainant owns. The chairs were later located and returned to the complainant, according to the report.
*Early Police arrested 40-year-old Wesley Ray Bruton of Early on two warrants related to violate promise to appear and display expired registration.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 40-year-old Randy Johns on two warrants related to theft of property equal or greater than $1500 and less than $20,000 and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 56-year-old Lynda Nance of Santa Anna on warrants related to expired driver’s license, failure to appear, no liability insurance, fail to dim headlights, and display expired driver’s license.
