Wednesday, April 27

*3:39 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, a female suspect in her 20s was observed stealing items from the business and then left in a vehicle.  Although the suspect was not located at the time of the report, she was identified and the incident was documented.

*3:49 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Wood Avenue regarding an assault.  According to the report, an altercation had occurred between a couple and an incident of assault family violence was documented.

*4:09 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Crockett Drive regarding theft.   According to the report, the director of risk management stated that medical lab equipment had been stolen from the business.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft at a property south of Bangs.  According to the law enforcement, the complainant reported improperly reporting of gas being drilled on property, which they own or have interest in, that they have not been properly paid.  The alleged suspect is known and owns a drilling company, the report states.

Thursday, April 28

*12:59 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Highway 279 and Lovers Lane.  According to the report, the vehicle attempted to evade the officer and the driver eventually fled from the vehicle on foot into a residence. The deputy pursued the driver on foot and arrested him inside the house, the report states.  During the investigation, a small amount of illegal narcotics and illegal contraband were located on scene, resulting in the arrest of the driver and front passenger of the car for possessing it, according to the report.  All other subjects in the car were released from detainment, the report states.  30-year-old Jerry Neil Loer, Jr. was arrested for tamper/fabricate physical evidence, evading arrest or detention with vehicle, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, evading arrest detention, prohibited weapon knuckles, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, an Eastland County warrant manufacture delivery of a controlled substance, a San Saba County warrant for evading, and on a surety withdrawal related to possession of a controlled substance.  Loer was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $77,000 as of Friday morning.  44-year-old Shelly Beth Schafer of Brownwood was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.  Schafer was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $8,000 as of Friday morning.

*8:17 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a convenience store regarding a burglary.  According to the report, a front window had been broken and the store had been burglarized.  No suspect has been identified at this time, the report states.

*9:22 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of South US Highway 377 regarding theft.  According to the report, the drive shaft of a vehicle had been removed from the vehicle.  It was obvious that someone had stolen the drive shaft during the night, the officer reported.

*1:30 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a property in Bangs, Texas regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her soon to be ex-husband and his girlfriend were on her property and she wanted them to leave.

*4:22 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2700 block of Austin Avenue regarding an accident.  According to the report, a male subject who had rear-ended the complainant provided her with his name and phone number, but left the scene before giving her all the required information, the report states.

*4:24 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1500 block of 6th Street which led to the arrest of 35-year-old Linley Rinehart of Brownwood for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.  According to the report, while Rinehart was being processed and searched at the Brown County Jail, she was found to be in possession of a small glass pipe containing a white residue.  Rinehart was additionally charged with prohibited substance/item in a correctional facility.

*9:44 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the report of theft in the 1500 block of Austin Avenue.

*19-year-old Alisa Marie Britton of Blanket, Texas turned herself in on a warrant related to criminal mischief equal or less than $2500 less than $30,000.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Billy Shy Drew on warrants related to two motions to revoke related to theft over $1500 less than $20,000.

*21-year-old Stacey Desiree Hernandez of Blanket turned herself in on a warrant related to criminal mischief equal or greater than $2500 less than $30,000.

Friday, April 29

*12:00 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of W. Commerce regarding a suspicious/reckless driver.  According to the report, a traffic stop was made which led to the arrest of 37-year-old Edgar Eugene St. Jean for driving while intoxicated open container.

*2:12 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of 6th Street and Avenue I which resulted in the arrest of the driver, identified as 20-year-old Ancil Morgan Hall of Brownwood, for driving while intoxicated.
