LECSmA Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle after he observed a passenger firing a pistol out the window of the vehicle as it traveled north on Hwy 279 Sunday evening.

According to the report, BCSO Deputy Taylor Fletcher contacted dispatch and continued to follow the vehicle as it traveled, eventually turning onto County Road 541 and then left onto CR 546 where it began to turn around.  Deputy Taylor then made a traffic stop on the vehicle.  The occupants were identified as driver 20-year-old Demarcus William Whinery and passengers 19-year-old Aaron Shaquille Rodriguez and 20-year-old Antonio Ramirez, the report states.  All three men are Brownwood residents.

Whinery admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle and a probable cause search of the vehicle located approximately 5.2 grams of marijuana along with a plastic sandwich bag containing approximately 9.4 grams of white pills identified as oxycodone and a small plastic baggie containing a fragment of a xanax tablet weighing approximately 0.3 grams, according to an arrest affidavit.  Several drug paraphernalia items including a marijuana grinder, marijuana pipe and rolling papers were also discovered, the report states. Whinery was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams; controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.  Ramirez was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and disorderly conduct.  Rodriguez was charged with possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

Friday, April 25

*9:23 AM – Brownwood Police received a call regarding a sexual assault.  According to the report, a victim and suspect have been identified.

*1:27 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Austin Avenue regarding an assault.  According to the report, 46-year-old Rudolfo Reyna of Brownwood was taken into custody and charged with assault causes bodily injury.  Both Reyna and the victim are clients of MHMR; however, Reyna acknowledged he knew it was wrong to grab the victim and try to throw her to the ground, according to the report.

*6:44 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Avenue E regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant advised that some medications had been stolen from the residence.

*6:54 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Southside Drive regarding theft.  According to the report, six campaign signs for Brenda Arp were stolen along this street.

*9:33 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4400 block of Redbird Street regarding a citizens’ dispute.  According to the report, after speaking with the calling party, a report for assault causes bodily injury family violence was taken.  The suspect had already left the area and was not immediately located, the report states.

*10:15 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce Street regarding public intoxication.  According to the report, a male subject was intoxicated and speaking of a homicide.  The male was located and later identified as 45-year-old Chad William Beasley of Brownwood.  Beasley was arrested for public intoxication.

*11:02 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Austin Avenue regarding public intoxication.  According to the report, a suspicious female, later identified as 48-year-old Raenita Sawyer Smith was located and found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest.  Sawyer was also found to be in possession of marijuana and was arrested for possession of marijuana under 2 ounces and for the warrant related to motion to revoke/driving while intoxicated blood alcohol level greater than 0.15.

*Brownwood Police arrested 26-year-old Julio Bernal, Jr. of Buffalo Gap on a parole violation and theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500.

*40-year-old Brandi Bundick of Brownwood turned herself in on a warrant for assault family violence.

*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Chance Keytan Clark of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to revoke/theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old John Lawrence Daugherty of Brownwood for assault causes bodily injury and warrants related to speeding and driving while license invalid.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 32-year-old Heather Gale Dominguez of Brownwood on a warrant related to theft of property greater than $500 less than $1500 and surety withdrawals related to theft, theft enhanced and criminal trespassing.  Dominguez was released after posting bonds totaling $41,000.

*Brownwood Police arrested 30-year-old Estrea Linda Garcia of Austin on a warrant related to criminal nonsupport.

*22-year-old Zachery Thrice Green of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to a probation order.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Tamara Dawn Hopkins of Brownwood on warrants related to unrestrained child – safe seat violation, failure to appear, ride no secure seatbelt driver, violate promise to appear.

*Brownwood Police arrested 27-year-old John Cody Vian of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/forgery.

*Brownwood Police arrested 18-year-old Nathan Emrys Willson of Brownwood on a warrant related to sexual assault.

Saturday, April 26

*2:38 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of 10th Street regarding a possible domestic disturbance.  According to the report, during the investigation, several items of drug paraphernalia were seen in plain view.  A search warrant was obtained and a quantity of methamphetamine was located inside the residence.  The resident, identified as 44-year-old Donnie Walters of Brownwood was arrested for a parole warrant as well as possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams and possession of dangerous drugs.  Walters was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $17,500 as of Monday morning.

*3:08 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Coggin Avenue regarding theft under $50.

*5:19 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 3900 block of Glenwood Drive regarding disorderly conduct.  According to the report, the male subject stated that the female had damaged his property and the female requested that the male be issued a trespass warning for her property.  The female was cited for criminal mischief and the male issued the trespass warning, the report states.

*1:47 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Austin Avenue regarding a noise nuisance.  According to the report, the caller reported that males parked at Coggin Park in a white car were “playing loud music and cussing a lot.”  This call led to the two males receiving citations for possession of alcoholic beverage in city park.

*5:02 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 4400 block of Redbird regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the caller stated that a male and female were fighting and kids were watching.  This call led to the arrest of 33-year-old Jason Lynn Sliger of Brownwood for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

*10:08 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Waco Street regarding a suspicious circumstance.  After speaking with a female complainant at a different location, a report for assault family violence was generated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Fernando Martinez Lira of Brownwood for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.

*Early Police arrested 58-year-old Tom Riley Spruce of Early for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.

Sunday, April 27

*1:44 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant stated an unknown person broke into her apartment and stole her wallet.

*7:49 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, a male claimed that a female had stolen $500 out of his wallet.  The female was later located at another location and claimed that the male had assaulted her and stolen her cell phone the previous night.

*1:02 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, loss prevention employees caught two people trying to take items from the store.

*7:10 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a Brownwood residence regarding a missing person.  Limited information was given to dispatch according to the report, and the person was entered as missing.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Angela Marie Kinsey of Brownwood for assault causes bodily injury family violence.

*Brownwood Police arrested 29-year-old Matthew Scott Patterson of Early on warrants related to passes stationary emergency vehicle and failure to appear.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Joe Robert Robles of Brownwood on a Brownwood municipal warrant for failure to maintain financial responsibility and a Bexar County warrant for contempt of court/child support.

*Bangs Police arrested 24-year-old Michael Roselle of Granite Shoals, Texas and 26-year-old Amanda Dee Thigpen of Abilene.  Each were charged with public lewdness.

Monday, April 28

*Brownwood Police arrested 27-year-old Raynaldo Maldonado, Jr. of Brownwood for driving while license invalid and failure to appear.
