Law enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, April 25, 2016
Friday, April 22
*3:22 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the burglary of a habitation in the 3000 block of Hemphill. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*4:08 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Melwood regarding an assault with injury family violence by strangulation.
*7:35 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop at Belle Plain and Maple Street. According to the report, during the course of the stop, a consent search was made on the driver’s wallet which led to the discovery of small amount of methamphetamine residue in a plastic baggie. This discovery resulted in the driver, identified as 47-year-old William Michael Weems, Jr. of Rising Star, Texas, running from the deputy on foot for a short distance, according to the report. Weems was quickly apprehended and arrested for evading arrest and for the contraband.
*8:02 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Austin Avenue regarding forgery/counterfeiting. According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had forged her name on a check.
*9:35 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy initiated a motorist assist on W. Highway 67. According to the report, while the deputy spoke with the two subjects who were changing a tire, one of the subjects, identified as 42-year-old William Harty Pierce of Goldthwaite, appeared to be very nervous. During a consent search of his truck, a broken methamphetamine pipe was found and claimed by Pierce who also admitted to intentionally breaking when the deputy initiated contact, the report states. Pierce was arrested for possession controlled substance penalty group 1 less than one gram and tamper/fabricate physical evidence. Pierce was released on $25,000 bond.*9:51 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of 7th Street. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 31-year-old Crystal Annette Bates of Brownwood for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 24-year-old Jimmy Ladale Allison of Bangs on warrants related to no driver’s license, failure to maintain financial responsibility, and failure to appear.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Candice Payge Burkhalter for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram. Burkhalter was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond as of Monday morning.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 44-year-old Rosetta Ivery of Brownwood on warrants related to driving while license invalid, two counts of failure to maintain financial responsibility, unrestrained child and no driver’s license.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Brandon Alan Jarvis of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to revoke/driving while intoxicated with child.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 27-year-old Jessica Munsell of Bangs on warrants related to speeding 10% or greater and violate promise to appear.
*Brownwood Police arrested 26-year-old Michael Steven Pennington of Early on warrants related to failure to appear, no driver’s license, failure to maintain financial responsibility and expired registration.
*32-year-old Kelvin Smith of Houston turned himself in on a surety withdrawal related to engage in organized criminal activity. Smith was released on $75,000 bond.
Saturday, April 23
*12:55 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4300 block of Mimosa Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, a female complainant stated that a male subject had broken into her residence and assaulted her earlier in the month.
*1:27 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on W. Commerce. According to the report, while speaking with the driver, 34-year-old Elizabeth Ann Ancinec of Brownwood, she appeared to be nervous and provided inconsistent details about where she was coming from. The officer observed methamphetamine in plain view on the driver’s seat where Ancinec was seated, the report states. More methamphetamine was found on the center console, in the rear floorboard, in straws inside of Ancinec’s medicine purse, and in plastic packaging hidden inside of her clothing after arriving at the jail, according to the report. Ancinec was charged with possession controlled substance penalty group 1 less than one gram, tamper/fabricate physical evidence and on a Hockley County warrant for violation of bond. Ancinec was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $32,000.
*2:02 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Avenue B regarding theft. According to the report, a flag and flag pole were stolen from the complainant’s porch.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspect, who had fled from Brownwood Police Department earlier in the day, had been seen at a residence on US Highway 183 North. According to the report, deputies arrived on scene and the complainant said the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Alonzo Jacob Flores of Dallas, was in his house. Deputies searched the house and determined the suspect had fled out the front door of the residence while deputies were attempting to gain entry to the residence, the report states. Deputies checked a building on the property and found the suspect on the floor, according to the report. The suspect was arrested without incident and turned over to Brownwood Police on scene.
*8:41 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Crockett Drive regarding an injury to a child. According to the report, witnesses reported seeing 41-year-old Cody Cass of Early injure a child as he allegedly dragged the girl across the parking lot by her left wrist. Cass was subsequently arrested for injury to a child.
*9:12 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of Quail Run regarding a suspicious situation. According to the report, checks and keys were scattered all over the ground in front of a residence. The owner of the paperwork and keys was contacted and it was discovered that two of the homeowner’s vehicles had been burglarized.
*9:25 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Avenue E. This stop led to the arrest of the driver, 40-year-old Daniel Hernandez of Brownwood, for driving while license invalid with prior convictions.
*10:15 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Coggin Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance.
*10:22 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of Sycamore Street during the stop, the officer observed drugs/narcotics on the driver. This stop led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 23-year-old Jordan Lee Dean of Brownwood, for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone, possession of marijuana equal or less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone and on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Brownwood Police arrested 58-year-old James Kevin Keen of Early on a warrant related to theft of services equal or greater than $100 less than $750.
*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Xavier Scott Martinez of Brownwood on a warrant related to no driver’s license, failure to maintain financial responsibility, failure to appear, expired registration, no driver’s license, and on surety withdrawals related to possession of marijuana and tamper with evidence.
*Brownwood Police arrested 24-year-old Cara Destiny McDaniel of Brownwood for criminal trespass of a habitation.
*Brownwood Police arrested 17-year-old Victor Aaron Rodriguez of Brownwood on two counts of burglary of a vehicle and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
Sunday, April 24
*1:19 AM – A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the area of Coggin Avenue and 6th Street on a vehicle for having a license plate light which was not working. According to the report, during the traffic stop, the officer noticed a very strong smell of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, identified as 17-year-old Cooper Robert Donathan, appeared nervous and was asked to exit the vehicle, the report states. Donathan was observed pushing something down in his pants, and a search of his person was made for officer safety, the report states. The object was found to be a prescription bottle of Adderall for another male, whom Donathan stated he did not know. Donathan was placed under arrest for the narcotics and a search of his vehicle was performed which led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia along with marijuana, the report states. Other pills found in the prescription bottle with the nine Adderall pills were two Xanax tablets and two Lisdexamfetamine. Donathan was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2-A greater than 4 ounces less 5 pounds than in a drug free zone, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams in a drug free zone, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone, possession of marijuana less than 2 grams in a drug free zone. Donathan was released on bonds totaling $25,000.
*8:46 AM – Brownwood Police were called to a local hotel regarding an assault involving family violence and strangulation.
*11:30 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of 14th Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, an unknown suspect had toilet papered the complainant’s tree and had poured corn syrup on her car along with corn meal mix and feminine pads.
*1:46 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Avenue I regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant stated that a male subject had tried to choke her daughter.
*2:53 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1100 block of 8th Street regarding an assault. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 19-year-old Megan Nichole Foster of Brownwood for assault and reckless damage.
*4:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Avenue E regarding an unwanted male who was fighting with his soon to be ex-common law spouse. According to the report, the male fled the scene on foot and then stole a pickup. During the investigation, the stolen truck was located and returned to the owner, the report states. An incident of violation of a protective order and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was documented.
*10:49 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Elizabeth Drive regarding a domestic disturbance and injury to a child.
*11:36 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 300 block of Bluffview Drive. While speaking with the subject, later identified as 29-year-old Sandra Marie Bale of Brownwood, she identified herself as Sandra Gillespie, lying about her true identity due to her having three active warrants for her arrest, the report states.
*Early Police arrested 19-year-old Ansen Wade Bailey of Early for consumption of alcohol by minor.
*Brownwood Police arrested 25-year-old Christopher Andrew Bankhead of Brownwood on Hemphill County warrants related to theft of a firearm and burglary of a habitation.
*Early Police arrested 19-year-old Dillon Scott Walters of Early for consumption of alcohol by minor.
