Wednesday, April 23
*1:04 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Austin Avenue regarding a hit and run accident. According to the report, sometime during the night, an unknown vehicle struck and damaged the chain link fence and gas meter behind the business.
*2:24 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Waco Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had stolen an unknown amount of currency from a jar. A possible suspect was named, the report states.
*5:47 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Sergeant John Fincher and Deputy Kelly Marsh received a call for theft at a property located on County Road 156. According to the report, the calling party reported fencing material was stolen from his property. The fencing material was owned by the Fence Guyz fencing contractor and was identified by the owner as special order 6 gauge fencing material specifically used in prison fences, the report states. The fencing material was valued at $450 per roll and that he was missing 4 rolls from his storage yard in Brownwood. Three rolls were located on the property at County Road 156. The incident is being investigated by Brownwood Police Department with BCSO assistance.Thursday, April 24
*9:14 AM – Brownwood Police received a report of the theft of an air conditioner unit from a home in the 4000 block of Austin Avenue.
*9:42 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of 8th Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant reported that someone had attempted to break into a vehicle while it was parked outside the address.
*11:35 AM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding forgery. According to the complainant, someone had been forging checks on their business account in the Houston area.
*6:44 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1300 block of Avenue B regarding an incident of assault family violence.
*8:46 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Duke Street regarding terroristic threat. According to the report, an investigation of the incident determined that a subject had violated a protective order. The subject was not on scene when officers arrived; however, charges have been filed, the report states.
*10:09 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of N. Greenleaf regarding a suspicious call. This call led to the arrest of Bobby Wallace for assault family violence by strangulation.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Casey Clay Connelly of Coleman on a Brown County warrant related to indecency with a child and Coleman County warrants related to aggravated assault with deadly weapon and two counts of burglary of a vehicle.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Tammy Jo Contreras of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Brownwood Police arrested 25-year-old Nicholas Cody Grady of Brownwood on warrants related to open container and violate promise to appear.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Tamara Dawn Hopkins of Brownwood on warrants related to unrestrained child-safety seat violation, two counts of failure to appear, and no seatbelt/driver.
*30-year-old Tiffany Jean Kite of Weatherford turned herself in on a Comanche County warrant for motion to adjudicate/possession of a controlled substance.
Friday, April 25
*1:21 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Vincent regarding theft. According to the report, a suspect was named and a report was taken for further investigation.
*3:45 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding the theft of a bicycle.
*Brownwood Police arrested 36-year-old Bobby Morgan Wallace of Brownwood for assault causes injury family violence by strangulation.
