Law enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, April 25, 2012.
Monday, April 23
*3:54pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the Brownwood Middle School at 1600 Calvert Road regarding a student found in possession of tobacco and a substance believed to be alcohol. According to the report, an investigation revealed that the juvenile was in possession of alcohol and tobacco. He was subsequently cited for Minor in Possession of Alcohol and Minor in Possession of Tobacco and assigned to the DEAP (Disciplinary Alternative Education Placement Program) for twenty days as school discipline.
*4:30pm-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding identity theft.
*6:10pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 1700 block of Waco Street regarding the theft of a bicycle from the yard of the residence. According to the report, the theft occurred between sometime on April 19th to 6:10pm on April 23rd. The bicycle was valued at approximately $100, the report states.
*7:01pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding a domestic disturbance at a local restaurant. According to the report, the complainant stated that her soon to be ex-husband shoved her.
*7:11pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Avenue B regarding a dog bite. According to the report, a woman and her son were walking down 5th street when a small brown dog chased them and bit her on the leg.
Tuesday, April 24
*2:32pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding theft. According to the report, a bicycle had been stolen from the residence.
*8:36pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2900 block of Good Shepherd regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant stated that his residence was burglarized earlier in the day and several items were stolen.
*9:23pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding disorderly conduct and abusive profane language. According to the report, a Wal-Mart employee reported an intoxicated shoplifter, later identified as 43-year-old Chad William Beasley. The employee reported that Beasley attempted to steal a bottle of wine by concealing it in his pants, the report states. Although charges for theft were declined at this time, Beasley was arrested for Public Intoxication with three previous convictions and Disorderly Profane Language.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met a complainant at her residence at Lake Brownwood regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that a plastic tub containing various hand tools valued over $2300 had been stolen from under the carport of her residence. The incident was said to have occurred between April 13th and April 20th. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report at the Law Enforcement Center of an assault of a male as he and two females traveled from Abilene to Brownwood. According to the report, the male reported that the women were possibly drunk or high on drugs and attacked him as another male was driving the group to Brownwood in his pickup. The deputy was able to speak with the women who gave a different account of the incident, stating that they were the victims of an assault, the report states. The complainant insisted he wished to pursue charges against the women for assault causing bodily injury. No arrests were made at the time of the report.
Wednesday, April 25
*Brownwood Police arrested 53-year-old Michael Zemunski of Abilene for Driving While License Invalid.
All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
