Friday, April 12

*2:00 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the Brownwood High School regarding theft.  According to the report, a student’s iPod and headphones were stolen and his school issued laptop computer’s screen was damaged.

*2:14 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of Slayden Street regarding disorderly conduct by profane language. According to the report, a student was attempting to leave the front office after having been escorted by the in-school suspension teacher to the front office for having cursed loudly in the hallway.  An investigation determined that an offense of disorderly conduct-profane language occurred and the student was issued a citation and received three days in school suspension as school discipline.

Wednesday, April 17

*9:14 AM – Brownwood Police received a report via telephone regarding unauthorized use of a debit card theft.   According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown suspect used her debit card number to make an unauthorized purchase totaling $147.40.

*1:31 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of 13th Street regarding theft.  According to the report, someone stole the complainant’s grandson’s bicycle.

*2:47 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant’s vehicle was “keyed” over the entire vehicle, the damage estimated at $1500.

*3:03 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding an assault with injury that occurred in the 2200 block of Avenue E on April 13th.

*4:13 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Brady Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant’s property and a residence were sold without permission from the victim.

*4:55 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart, 401 W. Commerce, regarding theft. According to the report, a manager saw a male suspect leave with a quantity of stolen merchandise and followed the suspect to the parking lot.  The suspect then abandoned the stolen merchandise and fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival, the report states. Photographs, video surveillance and the identity of the suspect were provided to police and will be forwarded to the Brown County District Attorney’s office for the arrest and prosecution of the suspect, the report states.  Items stolen included electronics, DVDs, food and men’s clothing items.

*5:09 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart, 401 W. Commerce, regarding a possible sexual assault.  According to the report, it was determined that a 17-year-old  female had been touched through her clothing on her “bottom” by a male subject who had been following her and several of her friends around the store.  The male subject was located, identified and issued a citation for assault/offensive touch.

Thursday, April 18

*9:10 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of 4th Street regarding theft.  According to the report, LED emergency lights (blue and red) were stolen from a wrecked emergency vehicle belonging to Guardian EMS.  The lights were valued at $180 and there are no suspects at this time.

*9:41 AM – Brownwood Police met a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding harassment.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an acquaintance has been harassing her via phone calls.

*1:11 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding the possible unsafe conditions in the home of a child.  A CPS investigation was completed and officers provided agency assistance by providing a consensual search of the residence, which resulted in the arrest of the suspect, 32-year-old April Lea McAnn for Possession of  drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2A less than 2 ounces and possession of a dangerous drug.

*4:47 PM – Brownwood Police received a report, via telephone call, from a complainant regarding the assault of a family member who had been struck by her boyfriend and the relative was afraid for the victim’s safety.    It was determined that the offense occurred in the county and the report was forwarded to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation of an assault with injury family violence and unlawful restraint.

*6:52 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3700 block of US Hwy 377S regarding a theft.

*7:53 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Davis Lane regarding the theft of alcohol from Wal-Mart and a minor in possession.  According to the report, the minor was issued a citation for the offense.

*63-year-old Bo Earl Blair turned himself in on a probation violation.

*Brownwood Police arrested 39-year-old Jason Paul Brice of Comanche on a warrant out of Kimble County related to engaging in organized crime.

*Brownwood Police arrested 18-year-old Joseph Alen Havens on a parole violation.

Friday, April 19

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 26-year-old Eric Dayne Burnside of Austin for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
