Law enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday, April 17, 2012.

Monday, April 16

*11:37pm-Brownwood Police were called to the1500 block of Market Place Blvd regarding unwanted individuals.  According to the report, officers arrived at the location to find two men leaving the restaurant.  The men were issued criminal trespass warnings for the location after they allegedly made sexually offensive comments to a teenage waitress while eating at the restaurant.

*1:45pm-A Brownwood Police officer, while on patrol at Brownwood High School in the 2100 block of Slayden Street, was contacted by administration regarding an assault that had occurred.  An investigation into the assault determined that one student had assaulted another over money, the report states.  The offending juvenile was taken into custody for Assault Causing Bodily Injury.

*3:13pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of Crockett Drive regarding an animal bite.  According to the report, a complainant advised that a 13-month-old child had been brought to Brownwood Pediatrics with injuries to the face from a dog bite.  Contact with the child’s parents was attempted; however, was unsuccessful, the report states.

*4:57pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center regarding the report of the possible sexual assault of a child.  According to the report, the officer spoke with the child’s father who stated that he believes that his son is being sexually assaulted by the boyfriend of his ex-wife.  No arrests had been made at the time of the report; however an investigation is pending and Child Protective Services has been contacted and advised of the situation.

*6:17pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of 3rd Street, the Pink Flamingo, regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, the complainant stated that while he was inside the business, an unknown subject struck his pickup in the parking lot.

*8:54pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of N. Fisk, Hastings Bookstore, regarding a shoplifter in custody.  According to the report, investigation led to a citation being issued to the shoplifter who was charged with Class B Theft and issued a criminal trespass warning.

*9:45pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Magnolia Street and Southside Drive regarding a defective license plate lamp.  According to the report, the driver identified as 44-year-old Mayte Capuchin Solis was arrested for Driving While License Invalid/No Insurance.

Tuesday, April 17

*12:05am-Brownwood Police were called regarding a hit and run in the 1600 block of Austin Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a red SUV side-swiped his vehicle.  Due to the late hour, the complainant did not want to stop to exchange information, so he went home and called the police department.

*4:06am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4200 block of US Hwy 377S regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, an unknown suspect broke the driver’s side window of the complainant’s vehicle and took items from inside.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
