Tuesday, April 9
*1:44 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Slayden Street regarding theft. According to the report, a student reported that money was taken from inside of his computer bag. An investigation determined that another student had taken $50 from inside the computer bag, the report states. The student was issued a citation for theft under $50 and assigned three days in school suspension by administration as school discipline. The money was returned to the owner, according to police.
Monday, April 15
*9:30 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a Brownwood residence regarding an assault that occurred at a construction site in the 700 block of Avenue J. According to the report, the victim had a bloody face and swollen lip.
*8:25 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Irma Street regarding a domestic dispute. According to the report, two sisters had been in a physical altercation, claiming each had been assaulted by the other.*8:49 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Penn Street regarding disorderly conduct. According to the report, dispatch stated that the caller’s husband, 58-year-old Danny Knox, was being belligerent, was intoxicated, and was attempting to leave the residence to drive to get more alcohol. Upon officers’ arrival, Knox had pinned the complainant down on the couch, restricted her movement and interfered with her ability to call the MHMR crisis line, the report states. After an investigation, Knox was arrested for interference with emergency telephone call.
*9:06 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Miller Drive, Brownwood Nursing and Rehab, regarding a resident being in possession of drug paraphernalia. The male resident was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the report.
*Bennie Guerrero Jr., 48 of Waco, was arrested by Brown County Sheriff’s office on a warrant for Burglary of a Habitation.
*Texas DPS arrested 33-year-old John Michael Sapp of Brownwood on a Taylor County warrant for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Zachariah Matthew Sliger of Brownwood for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.
*Texas DPS arrested 28-year-old Laura Cathleen White on a Taylor County warrant for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.
Tuesday, April 16
*12:13 AM – A Brown County Deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 444 regarding a domestic disturbance for the second time during the shift. According to the report, during the first incident, no one wished to pursue charges, and the situation was handled by separation. The second time, the deputy detained the suspect, 46-year-old Richard Craig Holt of May, while the officer spoke to the victim. According to the report, the victim advised that Holt assaulted her, which made her scream and when the victim’s daughter attempted to make an emergency call, Holt grabbed her hand and tried to prevent her from making the call. Holt was arrested for interference with an emergency call and assault family violence.
