Law enforcement arrests and reports released Friday, April 12, 2013.
Wednesday, April 10
*4:13 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding family violence. According to the report, the complainant stated that she was concerned for the safety of her daughter and grandchildren because her common-law son-in-law has been assaulting her daughter over a period of many years.
Thursday, April 11
*2:50 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Avenue D regarding the theft of a Chi weenie puppy. According to the report, the complainant stated that her roommate allegedly stole her puppy.
*7:47 PM – A Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Belle Plain regarding a burglary. According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had stolen two of his window unit air conditioners valued at approximately $500.
*6:49 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 101 regarding a burglary. According to the report, the complainant stated that several household items made of different metals that are commonly used to scrap or recycle at salvage yards had been stolen from his home. A witness gave a description of the suspect and direction of travel which led to the suspect being located in the 2000 block of W. Main Street. The complainant was escorted to the location and found in possession of a green trash can filled with items belonging to the victim. The suspect, 39-year-old Tommy Lee Kinsey admitted to the burglary and was arrested for burglary of a habitation, according to the report.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Christopher Cheshire of Abilene for driving while license invalid.
*Early Police arrested 39-year-old Leigh Ann McFadden for driving while license invalid and failure to maintain financial responsibility.
*Brownwood Police arrested 30-year-old David Newman for driving while intoxicated 2nd, driving while license invalid with previous conviction, and leaving the scene of an accident.
*Brandy Marie Spivey turned herself in on a warrant for her arrest related to burglary of a building.
