Friday, April 8

*10:44 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of 5th Street and Coggin Avenue.  The driver, identified as 40-year-old David Joe Pierce of San Saba, Texas, was found to be operating the vehicle with a suspended license with prior convictions and no insurance, according to the report.  Pierce was arrested for driving while license invalid.

*3:18 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of E. Commerce regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, a credit card and some cash were stolen during the burglary.

*Brown County Sheriff’s deputies, assisted by Bangs Police Department, responded to the area of Highway 67 and FM 585 regarding a domestic disturbance that originated at another location.  Further investigation revealed that a male and female were both assaulted by a female suspect; however, neither wanted to press charges and the parties were already separated.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 23-year-old Neil Ray Bingham of Early for public intoxication.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Courtney Long of Early for injury to a child/elderly/disabled person with intent bodily injury.

*44-year-old Doris Denise Ortega of Brownwood turned herself in on a warrant related to violation of parole.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Emilio Gonzalez Torres of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and on a warrant related to engage in organized criminal activity.  Torres was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $65,000 as of Monday morning.

Saturday, April 9

*8:59 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of US Hwy 377 regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, a customer of the business stated that he went to get water from the machine and stated that it was not working so he walked around back and noticed that the building which contained the water machine had been broken into.

*12:57 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of 2nd Street and Avenue H regarding a citizens’ dispute.  According to the report, a prepaid credit card was stolen.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*1:15 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of W. Commerce regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, a vehicle had been damaged while parked next to the business.

*2:34 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3700 block of S. US Hwy 377 regarding the burglary of a building.

*6:44 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3500 block of 2nd Street regarding a disturbance.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 25-year-old Eddie Hernandez of Brownwood for public intoxication.

*6:52 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Elizabeth Drive regarding an assault.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*Brownwood Police arrested 43-year-old Crystal Anne Berry and 41-year-old Edward Roland Berry, both of Brownwood, for injury to a child causing bodily injury.  Both were being held in the Brown County Jail, each in lieu of $10,000 bond.

Sunday, April 10

*Brownwood Police arrested 30-year-old Justin Waldrip of Brownwood on a warrant related to violate promise to appear/public intoxication.

Monday, April 11

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Timothy Scott Barrow of Bangs for public intoxication.
