Tuesday, March 6

*8:35pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 700 block of Almond Street regarding a runaway juvenile.  According to the report, the complainant stated that one of her foster sons had not returned home from school.  The next morning the complainant called to inform officers that the missing juvenile had returned to school and was seen in the cafeteria with friends.

Wednesday, March 7

*1:27pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Center Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a female friend of his spent the previous night in his apartment and when he woke up she was gone, as was approximately $300 in cash and three of his prescription medications.

*3:25pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 800 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant, an employee of Goodwill, stated that a known suspect stole three cloth linens from inside the store.  A citation for theft less than $50 was issued to the suspect and they were released from the scene, the report states.

*5:19pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Fisk Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his mountain bike was stolen from in front of his apartment at Howard Payne University on February 29th.

Thursday, March 8

*10:26am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Woodridge regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown suspect stole his medication.

*11:03am-Brownwood Police were called to the 800 block of Avenue A regarding theft.  According to the report, a Rigid electric 7-inch angle grinder was stolen from his garage.

*4:58pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Center Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that $200 cash was stolen from her purse which was located in her dorm room at Howard Payne University.  At the time of the report, no suspect information was available.

*5:32pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of Broadway Street regarding forgery.  According to the report, the complainant named a suspect who was allegedly involved in the forgery of a court document filed regarding mineral rights.

*6:46pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Market Place Blvd., Home Depot, regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she was struck while walking into the store by a green Chevrolet Suburban which was driven by a white female in her mid to late 20s or early 30s with blonde hair.  The Suburban fled the scene, the report states.

*6:43pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of Norwood Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the female caller stated that her husband had “hurt her neck and taken her medication and left to his parents’ home.”  Dispatch advised that the suspect was no longer on scene at the time the female victim called, the report states.  No arrest had been made at the time of the report.

*7:33pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Austin Avenue regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime between the hours of 6:00pm and 7:15pm, someone had broken the rear window of her Ford Explorer.  The plastic piece under her vehicle’s rear window was also damaged according to the report.

Friday, March 9

*12:55pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 1400 block of Beaver regarding an assault.  Victim and suspect have been identified and an active case has been filed.

*Brownwood Police arrested 22-year-old Jacob Luis Galan for Purchase Furnish Alcohol to a Minor.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
