Wednesday, March 2

*11:12 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle which was determined to be stolen and was recovered.  According to the report, the driver of the vehicle, identified as Marcella Renee Keesee and the passenger Kyle Wayne Baker were arrested.   During an inventory of the vehicle, a baggie of methamphetamine weighing 0.7 grams in an aerosol can was found in the front passenger door panel, the report states.

Friday, March 4

*12:52 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a local grocery store in the 300 block of E. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, one suspect was issued a citation for theft and another suspect involved in the theft was not located.

*1:46 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding credit/debit card abuse.

*4:03 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4400 block of River Oaks Drive regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, a mailbox and its stand, valued at $300 was damaged/destroyed.

*4:04 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of N. Main Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  The investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*11:05 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Calvert Road regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, a mailbox was damaged.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 52-year-old Albert Duffie of Brownwood on warrants related to two counts of disorderly conduct/unreasonable noise, public intoxication, disorderly conduct/obscene language.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Lorena Arriaga Navejar of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/burglary of a habitation, motion to adjudicate/theft of firearm, violate promise to appear and driving while license invalid.  Navejar was later released on $22,000 bond.

*Brownwood police arrested 30-year-old Lydia Michelle Nixon of Brownwood on a parole warrant.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Joshua Perez of Santa Anna on for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Christina Louise Stewart of Brownwood on Woodward County Oklahoma warrants related to domestic abuse-assault and battery and failure to appear.  Stewart was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling more than $24,000 as of Monday morning.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 36-year-old James Alonzo Terpening of Zephyr for driving while intoxicated with child passenger.

Saturday, March 5

*12:18 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, a set of 6” scaffels, valued at $200 was taken from the property.  No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*1:59 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of 8th Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, a purse containing personal identification cards was stolen from the vehicle.

*5:13 PM – Brownwood Police officers investigated a stolen camera which was reported earlier in the day.  According to the report, this investigation led officers to the 900 block of W. Baker Street where officers located a small amount of methamphetamine, according to the report.  The methamphetamine was linked by admission to the owners of the home and resulted in the arrest of 43-year-old Demetricus Lamore Fisher of Brownwood and 42-year-old Karen Denise Veitch of Kerrville for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone, the report states.

*7:21 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a male subject had stolen a drill.  An investigation is ongoing, the report, states.

*7:25 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to an address on County Road 360 regarding the violation of a criminal trespass warning.  According to the report, an Early Police Sergeant responded to assist at the scene and further investigation led to the arrest of 48-year-old Clayton Dale Wilkins of Kerrville for Criminal Trespass.

*7:30 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on County Road 426 regarding a weapons offense.  An investigation on scene determined that no crime had been committed; however, the subject voluntarily released his firearms to the deputy for safekeeping.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of reckless driver, who was “driving all over the roadway” on Highway 279 North.  According to the report, the responding deputy located 51-year-old Jose Antonio Silva of Brownwood in his truck which was parked in a ditch on FM 3021.  Silva was determined to be intoxicated due to several factors, including poor balance, slurred speech, blood shot eyes, and inability to look straight for a long period of time, the report states.  Silva did not speak English, so a bilingual officer was contacted and Silva was transported to the law enforcement center where he was read his rights in Spanish.  Silva agreed to blood sample and was booked into the Brown County Jail, charged with driving while intoxicated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Nora Michelle Crawford of Early on a warrant related to purchase furnish alcohol to a minor.

*Early Police arrested 48-year-old Kory Lee Haines of Brownwood on warrants related to public intoxication and violate promise to appear.

*Coleman County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Matthew Horn on a surety withdrawal for assault causes bodily injury.

Sunday, March 6

*3:57 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy stopped to do a welfare check on a vehicle that was parked on the side of highway at the intersection of Highway 377 E and County Road 329.  According to the report, the sole occupant of the vehicle, identified as 19-year-old Mason Gill Cabannis of Brownwood was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*7:39 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Vincent Street regarding theft.  According to the report, two unknown subjects stole multiple solar stake lights from the front of the yard.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*8:20 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of Avenue D regarding theft of property.  According to the report, a 3-month-old black and white pit bull puppy had been stolen.
